Former Rangers manager Walter Smith: There was no need for Gers to be put into Third Division.. the bitterness will never ease

... and these trolls couldn't help themselves again:

The former manager at Ibrox reckons the decision by SPL clubs to vote them out after liquidation was the wrong one and that the decision has negatively affected some clubs.

Poor and despicable lot ... and they know it.

Nothing. Rangers fans will still be accused of showing no contrition over the whole sorry affair, it will still be our fault.

if/when Whyte gets convicted of a fraudulent takeover Rangers will have been the victims of a crime.

At this point the whole "liquidation" thing is just semantics. Sure, our demotion wasn't as a result of us being put into the liquidation process but it is so insignificant in the grand scheme of things these days.

I agree with you Rab.

But if you think that anyone else outside of Rangers or their fans will be expected to eat humble pie or apologise then you will have a very long wait.

More likely the outcome will be "Lets move on" and "Let sleeping dogs lie" or "leave the past behind" or... my personal favourite.... "let bygones be bygones".

Make no mistake there will be a flurry of subterfuge undertaken to ensure that Rangers continue to be seen as the perpetrators of their own downfall and at no point in time will the SFA/SPFL/SPL/SFL be seen to have done anything untoward. The reporting of it will be feverish in the extreme, ensuring that any suggestion that Rangers were the victims of a crime and unfairly punished will be swept under the carpet and/or overcome with large swathes of negative, Rangers are bad, reporting.

... and could come down on those who voted them out of the SPl out of spite and hatred and the like. What could they do though? Sue the SFA and SPL/SPFL? Two essentially broke institutions? Who will claim that they acted in the best faith and according to the info that was available at the time?

I WOULD hope that Rangers tell them in no uncertain words that taking them to court is still an option (and if we take them through the courts to the highest one, it will probably ruin the SFA and SPFL alike) ... SHOULD anyone within these organization even whisper about title stripping etc., no matter the outcome of the EBT case.

And why on Earth should we let them get away with it? It is false, it is wrong and it tars the image of our club. For they do not speak about companies here ... and they know it and do it with intent.

In our case we are the rape victim who, because she was beautiful and had a short dress with some cleavage on show, was gagging for it and deserved to be raped.

These scumbag rapists cannot/will not ever see that in any circumstances was the recipient a victim.

It doesnt matter that we used some legal tax-avoidance measures, for that and for being the biggest and best club in the land, we were ripe for rape in their sectarian and bigoted view, and their control of the media will ensure that there will be no sympathy for the victim when the truth of our rape comes out.

The takeover will not be fraudulent though Rab. Murray sold Rangers to Whyte for a quid. The related conditions where Whyte was to pay off LBG, invest in stadia improvement, etc are where the alleged frauds came about. A fraudulent scheme is the main charge.

Yes, we all know what went on. Those outside our family however will simply harp back to Murray selling us to Whyte. In other words, it will remain our fault. There will be no contrition from those bassas.
