Looking at this team i dont see where we will get 2 or 3 goals from, Prso dosent spend enough time in the box to be a goal threat.

Tend to agree. I don't like when we play one up. It certainly didnt work on Sunday although we got the right result. Boyd was left exposed at times and this was not becuase he is lazy blah blah blah. Prso was exactly the same when he came on. On Thursday we need two up front and ino one of them should be Novo probably partnering Prso with Boyd coming on later on to wrap up a win(hopefully)

Tbh I don't like the way Cammy and Gribz are trying to force the best players into a formation they don't fit. i.e Thommo as a wide left player. Pick the best players for the best formation. Its like harping back to England and the whole Gerrard/Lampard debate.

 

Like your summation of the Hibs game "WhostheDado". As you say Boyd played badly due to a lack of supply and being isolated and when Prso came on he wasn't any better. So perhaps the arguements against Boyd don't hold much water.

 

I think there are many formations and line-ups we could go with, the "correct" one is anyone which delivers the right result on the night.

 

If Prso can play better than his sub appearances since returning from injury, which have been frankly awful, he has to start. However I too have reservations about him playing from the left, but don't see where else to play him in Smith's preferred formation.

And I think I would be most happy with this.

 

I realise I have attacked Cammy/Gribz for playing players out of position and arguably done the same with Prso, but I think this is the best compromise between our options.

 

Another option is to drop Hemdani/Thomson and make it a flat 4 with Adam coming in on the left. He will rightly feel hard done by if left out, but I think this gives us the best chance of getting the result.

I know it's a risk as losing an away goal would be a bit of a disaster but I think if we have a go we can have this mob.

Adam has scored our last 3 goals so it�´s up to Boydie, Novo and Fergie to score goals.

Yeah tbh I'm not a big fan of Adam and I think Novo always gives us that extra option being able to beat a man. Just read the other thread and seeing as they're going to be a weakend team we really should go for the juguler.
