Exploring the fundamental dishonesty of Scotland's sectarianism industry

Banner rolls are easier to smuggle in.

By his actions we'll judge Lawwell. However, obviously I won't expect any punitive action by their club.

Celtic chief Peter Lawwell to launch probe into derby shame scenes but says: "We’ll deal with it privately and properly

Lawwell tells us - "We’ll deal with it privately and properly".

It shouldn't be up to him how it is dealt with. Do we not have a compliance officer, and authorities that can enforce the rules of the game.

Surely they should be citing consequences to be faced by that club. The arrogance of their board to think that they can dictate to the game how this will be handled.

You simply can't smuggle banners like these into the ground ...

Dunno how long it was on display.

The GB have storage facilities within the Girodome which they can access outwith matchdays.

That is how they'll have got this and other banners into the ground

Been saying for years I'd like to see the DUP enter Scottish politics. None of the mainstream parties represent us.

Rab, if you remember back to when we were all going apeshit and arguing over the european referendum vote I suggested the very same thing.

There is a huge vacuum in Scottish politics for, as you say. A Scottish Unionist Party for example. A party that could cherry pick the best policies from conservative and labour and exist with the prime aim of getting the best deal for Scotland "inside" the UK, and outwardly standing up for and promoting Unionist politics.

Great shout Rab, totally agree!.

As soon as you mention unionist people think extreme right wing . Your ordinary voter in the street doesn't want to be classed as a unionist even although he wants a united uk. it would be better not picking that name unless you just want a small right wing party.

There's a train of thought that these banners are being taken into Parkhead the day before the game, bypassing normal security measures. You do have to wonder though, how a banner that size and dimensions doesn't attract any scrutiny by the Police or Stewards?

Is that true, Rab?

It would certainly allow plod and the stewards to say that they found nothing in their search of the fans going in to the game.

It also allows that club to push the line that they did not know what the fans had written on their banners because they only rent them the storage space.

It matters not a whit that the club is responsible for everything within the confines of the stadium on match day.

Cunning, deceitful, sly - choose what fits.
