Ian,we could have at least been organised----we were most definately NOT.

How many German teams would say the same?, come on!, we are light years off that standard of team, that team have been doing that to every team in their league!

But hey everything is rosy the contracts of Miller and Hill have been renewed at least we know improvement is on the way.

Two of our best players, but that is where we are until we get serious investment unfortunately

Unlucky with the first goal, then in of the post after a cracking counter, then twice out-powered by a cracking team. Unlucky before HT with our goal, which should have stood (even according to the German commentator).

Leipzig has been away in Portugal in a training camp, has played a couple of friendlies in the last 6 days and was playing its power-football from the off. The power football that saw them cast aside all but Bayern Munich in the BL. And the BL is quality-wise worlds apart from the SPFL ... and a team just promoted to its top tier. A team that has not play a game for 14 days.

Yes, we did not play as good as we can, were lackadaisical in position, made a lot of wrong decisions, but much of that due to a the pressure put on us by a far superior side. One may ask why MW (if he really does) wants his players to play all those neat little passes, but you would also expect that full grown professionals know themselves when to play a long ball and not to dilly-dally too long or try a pass to someone who has two or even three players breathing down his neck. The latter was the reason for our last two goals. Likewise, as you saw being done by them, we simply have to distribute the ball much faster to the front line. Closer to the end, you noted how RBL could be breached, for given their high-pressing style, they left open spaces which we almost exploited with MOH and Waghorn. We are a long way off from their class, but it is a learning curve for people who probably never ever have experienced a game against such opposition.

As for the players, McKay done himself proud, Miller was everywhere (which left us toothless up front, but that is something for the manager to lose sleep about), Waghorn as willing (and greedy) as ever, and a game for the pace of MOH. Not least because of the last few weeks, I would like to start our next games with Hodson on the right of our defence. Tav was simply running about with next to no end product in anything he did. Which is quite sad given his own standards.

Upwards and onwards.

A STRICKEN Rangers fan is tended to*by paramedics after falling 20ft over a barrier while reportedly trying to do a HANDSTAND. The supporter who crashed into the concrete below was taken away on a stretcher before*Gers’ friendly fixture with RB Leipzig.

A frightened fan feared for his fellow fan’s safety as he tweeted a picture of him following the*“20ft” drop at the Red Bull Arena.Jim Pirie said: “A Rangers fan just fell over the barrier from about 20 feet on to the concrete below.“Taken away on a stretcher. Not good.”

Leipzig confirmed the fan was trying the gymnastic move and told how he was only slightly injured in a tweet.

The tweet*translated to read: “The Rangers fan, who crashed into the interior after a handstand attempt on the guest block railing, is only slightly injured.”

But the fan, believed to be Graeme Park, miraculously made it back to the stands to watch the game.

The Ibrox Loyal Facebook page wrote: “The Rangers fan that fell from the railing is fine, and is back in the stands watching the game! Albeit with a Prso style headband!”

Graeme Park wrote: “A fell on ma head at football but am OK”

Red Bull beat*Rangers 4-0 thanks to goals from Timo Werner, Scotland international Oliver Burke and a second half Yussuf Poulsen brace.

We told earlier how Mark Warburton viewed the game as a tester for his Rangers team’s quest for Europe next season.

Leipzig, currently second in the Bundesliga, were perfect preparation with his side “just 24 weeks away” from playing contintenal footie.

A group of Gers supporters were also caught on camera signing an anti-German song in a Berlin bar ahead of the Leipzig clash.

The group belted out a rendition of 10 German Bombers In The Air then the Dambusters – sparking anger on social media.

Hodson more than deserves a run at the right back slot. He was a big improvement when he came in.

PS that was meant to be in direct reply to DB's closing comment but then another post intervened

Last remark, from the post match interview by MW. He said it was no use playing friendlies against sub-standard opposition and you have to play against and learn from the best. IMHO the right attitude, even though you might end up with results like these.
