compo 6,140 Posted February 11, 2017 Author Share Posted February 11, 2017 God knows who will be in charge but one thing has me worried , and its this investors will be watching all this fannying about and remember the big shop keeper and the bus driver still have a big shareholding this is when they might be calling for some changes to the board if they can persuade others to join them . He may sound 10 times better than any other candidate, but I'm not completely convinced about his managerial abilities. If he ended up 17 points off the top in Holland, how will he do in Scotland with a fraction of the resources that Celtic have? Winning the league with a club like Ajax doesn't necessarily count for much, so I'm a little in the dark whether he's a genuine talent as a manager or not. Are you sure he wan't just being polite? I didn't see it, but it would seem strange that he would consider Scotland when his managerial ambitions are set at EPL then Barcelona. If we were throwing money around and in the Champion's League then yes but I don't think he'd see us as an attractive option. In a backwater league with a supposedly two horse race between two poor horses, he'd be riding a horse just rescued from being turned into glue against one that has had relative fortunes spent training it to its peak efficiency. It's a nice dream - even though it'd still be a big gamble - but in all likelihood we'll get a Scottish ex player or manager who will never get anywhere near sellick, will take our football backwards to the old days they grew up with and then be hounded out for poor performances and a yawning gap to septic just before the winter break next year - if, and it's a big if, we can afford to pay him off. Around that time the forums will be full of folk telling us they supported Warburton and were in it for the long haul with him. PS On another note - we allegedly got our loan signings in because of "the way Warburton plays the game".
