John Beaton and Craig Thomson WON’T referee in the Premiership this weekend

COOLING OFF PERIOD John Beaton and Craig Thomson WON’T referee in the Premiership this weekend after Rangers star Ryan Jack and Motherwell controversies.

Both men drop down to Championship duty this weekend with Beaton taking charge at Dunfermline and Thomson at Livingston.

UNDER-FIRE referees John Beaton and Craig Thomson WON’T referee in the Premiership this weekend.

Both whistlers were caught up in controversy on Saturday as they took charge at Ibrox and McDiarmid Park respectively.

And the SPFL have saw fit drop both men down a level to take charge of Championship clashes this weekend instead.

In Hibs‘ 3-2 win over Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday, Beaton sent Gers star Ryan Jack off with the score locked at 1-1.

It came after he appeared to shove Dylan McGeouch before going head-to-head with Anthony Stokes.

While in the game between St Johnstone and Motherwell, Thomson sent off THREE Steelmen in a game Stephen Robinson’s side ultimately lost 4-1.

Fans of both affected clubs were furious after their matches at the weekend.

And thousands of Rangers supporters have since signed a petition demanding an end to “anti-Rangers refereeing” in Scotland.

Both referees will now be out of the limelight this weekend when they take charge of games in the Championship.

Beaton will be the man in the middle for the clash between Dunfermline and Falkirk.

While Thomson will head to the Tony Macaroni Arena to take charge of Livingston vs St Mirren.

"It came after he appeared to shove Dylan McGeouch before going head-to-head with Anthony Stokes."

An interesting summary of the situation by The Scum newspaper. Anyone who buys that loo-roll needs labotomised immediately.

This means absolutely nothing , and this dignified silence from the cowards in our boardroom needs to stop .someone needs to call these arseholes out

I agree that the board appear to be very timid. Even if they asked, publicly, for clarification of the decisions that were made by Beaton then the fans could see them doing something.

It makes a person wonder if they (the SPFL/SFA) are still holding something over our board which would warrant their subservient attitude.

I put up with seasons of "clarification" from the Gary's in the east end, from boardroom to dressing room to London Road slophouse via deranged arseholes like Ill Phil.

Things are way beyond the pale now. If our board sit back and simply take what is currently going on then they can go feck themselves. I bought into Rangers men needing our help. In return I look for parity.

This pantomime has gone on for too long.

"Cooling off period". Why cant those running the game just state its due to awful performances rather than taking them out the heat kind of argument. English FA had no problem previously of making stronger true statements.
