League Cup Semi-Final Draw - Rangers v Motherwell

Recommended Posts

Anyone who says Louis Moult is not Rangers class when we have Windass Miller Herrera need to alter their opinion. The guy runs nearly every game he plays in.

Id be expecting him to run in every game he plays in. :D

Couldnt have asked for a better draw. Motherwell, while a decent side, are clearly the weakest of the remaining clubs, and also the nicest fans so instead of a hate-filled, tense semi final, we have a proper football match and leave all the sectarian stuff to the other semi, where are least one set of disgusting, hate-driven, sectarian, scumbags will be eliminated.

This will also mean our scheduled home game against Dolly will be moved to a midweek slot instead of a Saturday lunchtime game. Shame that for the 800 or so travelling fans!

Essentially, every other season a "lesser" team manages to get their act together, get the best out of their players, employs a decent tactic and grow with eah good result. We saw that over the years when this happened to St. Johnstone, ICT and Motherwell too, but hardly with Aberdeen et al. Usually, after such a season (or midway), one of the bigger or richer sides happen by, snatch this or that player from the well-doers and they end up in mediocrity again. Remember when the Scum raped the Arabs for Mackay-Stephen and Armstrong midway through their rather successful campaign ... and the Arabs' season nosedived? Aberdeen had McLeam, Hayes, and Jack to thank for their good campaign last season and with two of those away, they don't look like they'll end up as high again as last season, at least by their current form.

If someone kicks Stokes out of Hibernians line-up, they will struggle, and Motherwell may struggle too, should Moult leave them in January.

Motherwell have been playing a lot better than Hibs of late and will represent just as much of a test as Hibs or Aberdeen would have.

I may take Motherwell to beat Hibs if they were playing each other, but we know fine well that a Hibs performance against us is not the same as a Hibs performance against Motherwell. Therefore I am much happier playing Motherwell than Hibs. The recent ibrox game being a good case in point. Hibs havent won a league game since in 4 attempts.
