Rangers have been given an injury boost as Fabio Cardoso returned to first-team training after undergoing surgery on his broken nose.

The 23-year-old defender has been out since his nose was shattered by Motherwell’s Ryan Bowman durig the Scottish League Cup semi-final last month.

With Bruno Alves also missing out through suspension, Danny Wilson and Ross McCrorie have formed an impressive partnership at the heart of Rangers’ defence in recent weeks.

Cardoso seems to be really enjoying life in Scotland so far – and regularly updates fans on social media – and let Gers supporters know he was back in training after

It will be interesting to see if Mutry sticks with McCrorie and Wilson for the Hamilton game.

I'm quite happy with the standard of our centre backs as well and fairly comfortable if any of the four or five main ones play.

I think my preferred combination would be Alves and McCrorie but Wilson has done fine so far - as has Cardoso despite what the stats may say.

I prefer Alves to the lot of them -- maybe bar McCrorie -- because he's a beast aerially. The stats... :D ... suggest he's one of the best at winning aerial duels, which is really important in this league, when every attack is a lumped ball into the box from any position.

I think McCrorie is a real class act. He needs to play. The potential there is really exciting.

I think McCrorie has shown up well recently, and has a bright future.

I agree with others that Alves/McCrorie is a good relationship - especially for McCrorie. However, it would be hard on Cardoso as he's done decently as well, but that how football goes.

Pretty sure he will. I don't see Murty as the type who will bring in "big names" when the guys who have been playing have been doing well.
