The vitriol tends to be aimed at a particular strain of Irish political ideology (which is obviously ingrained in our rivals), rather than the Irish or Ireland, in general. Cosgrove's piece on Dundee Utd/Hibs and their formation was a celebration of it. These clubs sowed the seeds of sectarianism in Scottish sport, with their divisive exclusivity.
