ian1964 10,444 Posted May 13, 2018 Share Posted May 13, 2018 I think his form dipped when DJ got injured and Halliday came in, Halliday not being a LB and doesn't get forward as much as DJ. I am a wee bit worried about Halliday today as he doesn't have much pace and the Edinburgh scum play at pace!. We need to score goals and as Windass and Co. posted missing up front far too often, he regularly goes central and has a shot himself. IMHO, once we find a decent system and let players play in their natural position, he'll be of immense value. Middleton ... is a fine prospect. buster. 4,808 Posted May 13, 2018 Share Posted May 13, 2018 Murphy will be 29 in August so it'd be another player with next to no re-sale value and we'd be the club yet again, that pays the last transfer fee for a player and takes the heightened risk regards age/fitness. This team is mentally fragile and neither Murphy or Windass are the type of players who have the specific qualities to help such a team dig their way out of such a problem. When a team is in such a place, it needs the likes of a Ross McCrorie to stand-up in midfield and help lift the team.
