The 20-year-old joined Berwick Rangers a year ago on a temporary basis and he went on to make 41 appearances with the Shielfield Park side. McCrorie’s excellent form with the Wee Gers was recognised as he scooped FIVE gongs at the club’s Player of the Year awards. He could now spend next season with League One winners Ayr after Gers brought in Allan McGregor. Ayr boss Ian McCall is keen to add to his options following the Honest Men’s promotion with Jack Ruddy’s return to Wolves after a loan stint leaving only Jordan Hart between the sticks. However I thought I had seen him at Hampden in green at least twice around the 72-74 seasons during international tournament qualification matches.
