Dave M609 100 Posted August 6, 2018 Share Posted August 6, 2018 I'm happy with the draw, as most have said couldn't have hoped for a better draw, play to our strengths, defend well and hope for a goal on the break, should see us through, I don't think we have anything to fear. This is a CL quality team we are up against and Osijek and Sheep games have shown we can play away from home. They look to have some talents in their side including a quick Nigerian winger they call Sly, but if we’re good enough to beat Maribor this tie looks very winnable. JFK-1 1,673 Posted August 6, 2018 Share Posted August 6, 2018 I want us to make the group stage not just for the obvious financial reasons and the buzz it would create for the rest of the year but for the sake of Gerrard too. What a start to his managerial career if he can get us through this. An achievement that would make it all the more difficult for the usual suspects to continue their digs at him. They would then be taking underhand digs at a man who didn't just boost the finances of Rangers but gave the national co-efficient a boost in the process.
