If anyone wanted to understand why we're voiceless and powerless in our own city a read of this thread is instructive. What started as frustration around a fanzone has morphed into angry white men yelling 'brexit' into the void whilst dreaming of rimming Boris Johnston. No wonder Tims run rings round us politically.

There’s something wrong with being white?

That's what you took from that post? Brilliant.

You're the one who mentioned white men, there must have been a reason. How about this version instead ....

What started as frustration around a fanzone has morphed into angry black men yelling 'slavery' into the void whilst dreaming of rimming Jeremy Corbyn. No wonder Muslims run rings round us politically.

Celtc minded people decided to make a beeline for public office a few decades ago and have been rather successful.  Rangers fans tend to be less focused in such matters and this is quite apparent wherever you look in politics and the press.

All we can do is encourage the next generation of Bears to educate themselves, get more involved and to continually pull them (yahoos in public office) up when they demonstrate their agenda.

Why is that???

One major positive that the Independence referendum in 2014 had, was that interest in politics took a massive jump.  More folk are talking about what's going on & who's doing what.  Looks at the political discussions on here recently....I would bet that none of these would have taken place pre-2014.  Questioning & watching the politicians is a good thing....that is why there have been soooo many scandals etc uncovered in the past few years - folk are asking questions.

The correct course of action.

No use people moaning about things online, in forums etc.  If there appears to be a grievance, pursue the proper channels.
