[FT] Rangers 4 - 0 Dundee (Coulibaly 4, Kent 14, Tavernier 45 Pen, Middleton 84)

Also sorry to see Dundee in their current state, but the season's long and nothing is lost. Their ambitions won't depend on games against us though ... and one hopes their board knows that.

I'd go 3-5-2 with Katic, Goldson and Worrall as CHs, and Coulibaly the destroyer / emergency man in front of them. Barisic on the left wingback-role, Candeias on the right. Arfield will most likely be paired with Ejaria through the middle, which leaves one MF-slot open (and it will go most likely to Kent). Up front Alfredo and Kyle. Middleton and Grezda to freshen things up.

How are you squeezing Tav into that line-up?

I don't. We have three CHs to cover his area and Candeias is IMHO better going forward. We won't need him against Dundee either. If someone needs him, he can become the right-wingback and Candeias goes inside-right with no Kent.

Gut feeling says that as long as possible, Kent and Ejaria will fulfill Liverpool FC - loan requirements though ...

Wouldn't be suprised if we go - on paper - 4-2-3-1 again, even if we don't need 4 defenders and 2 DMs against Dundee at home.

Well the full backs would operate like wing backs and people seem to forget that with 4 at the back they would have far more room

than if deployed as wing backs in a 3-5-2.

Trust me I’ve been there and you are man marked as a full back in a 3-5-2.

You've got 11 outfield players there, @der Berliner.

With three at the back, we don't need a goalie.

Anyway, SG springs the odd surprise ... even in a nominal 4-3-3 ...

McGregor

Tavernier - Katic - Goldson - Barisic

Arfield - Coulibaly - Halliday

Candeias - Morelos - Kent
