Change for the semi-finals?

Recommended Posts

Ra Sellik are saying if their match is confirmed as being switched to Murrayfield, they want a redraw of the semi-finals.

Why don't we play both ties(whatever they are) at Croke Park?

Or, Tokyo if that suits Lawwell's long standing proposed tour of Japan?

The BHEASTS have previously played a Scottish cup semi at Hampden when they were using it whilst the piggery was getting fumigated!

I am just old enough to remember ra Sellik forcing UEFA to redraw the first round of the European Cup in 1968. They did not want to travel to Prague because of the Soviet occupation. The deposed Czech leader, Dubcek was a devout rc and Sir Robert Kelly wanted to be seen supporting his faith.

So they would rule out Murrayfield because that would be considered a 'home' game for Hearts? So if the yahoos get Hampden that isn't a 'home' game for them?

If anyone has to go elsewhere it shouldn't be us. We were the first tie drawn out and it's the second tie causing the problems.

Herats v Scum were 1st draw, meaning that would be the Saturday match, the 2nd semi was/is to be played on the Sunday!

Wonder how Murdoch McLennan will deal with this, being that the SPFL has decided that he is not conflicted ...

Celtic insist SPFL don't automatically send them to Murrayfield as Betfred Cup farce continues

The Hoops have written to the league body and are asking for a ballot to decide which tie is moved across the country.

Celtic used Murrayfield as a home venue for European matches in recent seasons, as well as a lengthy sojourn at Hampden when rebuilding their own ground. Frankly I don't really mind where we play, but it sticks in the craw that firstly Aberdeen and their supporters in BBC Scotland and now Celtic are getting to decide it.

What an absolute organisational shambles.

It's starting to take on a new level of avoidable farce.

The time to sort this out was at the beginning of September (I started a Gersnet thread about it on Sept 6th). They needed to look at potential problems, speak to parties who could be key to providing solutions and have clear what the provisional decision would be when as was probable both OF clubs made the semi-finals and were drawn apart.

It almost seems as if they were just hoping that the draw would throw-up another OF semi-final.
