Hibs yob who clashed with Rangers captain James Tavernier is banned from every ground in Scotland

Cameron Mack pleaded guilty to breach of the peace at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

A Hibs fan who ran onto the Easter Road pitch and confronted Rangers skipper James Tavernier has been banned from every ground in Scotland.

Cameron Mack, 21, pleaded guilty to a breach of the peace when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.

He has been banned from all Scottish football grounds and will be sentenced in April.

Mack sparked outrage when he leapt from the Easter Road stand and confronted Tavernier shortly before half time in Friday's 1-1 draw.

He kicked the ball away as the Rangers star prepared to take a throw in and the pair then pushed each other before police and stewards intervened.

Mack, from Port Seton, admitted acting in a disorderly manner, kicking the ball away, approaching Tavernier and acting in aggressive manner.

Hibs chief executive Leeann Dempster was furious as she spoke after the unsavoury incident on Friday - just six days after Celtic star Scott Sinclair was targeted with a Buckfast bottle at the same stadium.

She blasted: "I was going to call him a supporter but I'm not going to call him a supporter.

"It reflects badly on the club, it reflects badly on the Scottish game when the game is thriving and doing lots of good things but what are we talking about again tonight? We're talking about an absolute foolish idiot and it's completely unacceptable."

SPFL chief Neil Doncaster released a statement on Sunday, almost two days after the incident.

He said: "We utterly condemn the reprehensible behaviour shown by individual who invaded pitch on Friday night in the Hibs v Rangers match. We welcome comments made by chief executive Leeann Dempster in tackling unacceptable conduct.

“We will review the specific circumstances of that event in conjunction with the match delegate and the police and take any appropriate steps.”

Aye, the DR at the usual. I will keep saying this; when all this is over there should be no hiding place for any of those involved from the MSM. We all no who they are!

And how is this ban from every ground going to be enforced?

If it is from the Police he will have to turn up at a police station when Hibs play. If it is just the SFA\SPFL it is blank bullits except possibly Easter road where they know him. That obviously also depends on Hibs will to stop him.
