The Winter 2021/22 Rangers Transfer Thread - Aaron Ramsey loan deal confirmed

Recommended Posts

All Diallo’s touches against Leeds U23s earlier this season. I like these videos because they give a much better view of the player than the highlights videos do. He gets 2 goals and assist here, so involved in all 3 goals.

Like most players in that position he has a tendency to pass inside and back the way quite a lot which can be frustrating when you just want to see him put on the after burners all the time (which isn’t possible anyway). He scorers a sublime goal here. For whatever reason he has only been in two U23 squads this season. No idea what he’s been doing all season?

This is another of those all touches video but for the senior team at a much higher level. A lot not coming off for him here tbh, but a couple of good contributions too.

Suppose these short term loans are low risk. Potentially high reward, but there is a possibility they don't contribute at all or fleetingly. Not sure if bringing in too many external youths into a blood and guts title race is what we need but I'll trust the club on this.

(I include Sands in this btw)

Nothing in that video excites me much running into tackle and not beating man in those clips looks no better than Scott Wright IMO.

This is the last one I’ll post as I’m

already cluttering the thread a bit, but this is against Blackburn U23s and shows his abilities better (3 assists and a goal here). For context, Blackburn finished 4th out of 13 in the U23s league and Man Utd finished 8th so they aren’t a bad team.

McAtee is another top quality prospect.

However, I don't really want us to be signing loan players that we have no hope of signing permanently.

On the other hand, we're potentially strengthening the squad short-term with little outlay. Will it be enough, is the question?

Agree - but would caveat. Does bringing in these lads come with any stipulations like them having to be guaranteed to play a set amount? Would Man City/Man U send players here to sit on the bench?
