Recently, our two most promising youths were snapped up by Chelsea and Everton before they really broke into the first team.

And the boy who joined Villa for nearly 500k. But on the flip side you can get a Lowry or a King in the first team for 20 games, maybe a cap for Scotland and then the interest from England comes in just like Patterson.

I see no reason why Lowry, King and McRorie shouldn't already be challenging for regular starts. Especially since none of them appear to have particularly strong competition, especially in the case of King.

Depends on what is seen as "youth". King (18) has featured regularly, Devine (19) is regarded as good-enough back-up for Tavernier, Sands is but 22, Ridvan 21, Hagi 23, Tillman 20, Matondo 21 and I would expect Lowry (18) would feature on the bench if he wasn`t wrecked by that Dumbarton bloke.

At the end of the day, Rangers is all about winning, so we will put out the best team that is available - well, at least that is what the management will do. From what I have seen of late regarding Devine, Ure and King, they might become solid Premiership material. Lowry and McCann look even more promising, but we shall see.
