pete 2,499 Posted September 25, 2007 Share Posted September 25, 2007 Personally i don't think Hemdani has ever let us down so i find it difficult to see him treated in such a way. Hemdani would most certainly have offered more than Faye against Hearts. If it was the difference between win or lose we will never know. Even Charlie Adam sitting out for Faye is a joke. Faye may turn good but from what i have seen of him he makes Hemdani look like Asafa Powell. As i said before, Hemdani on the Bench would give us defensive and midfield cover. I think he should be in the team against teams who are willing to play, as Hibs, Hearts, Celtic but i will agree the 10 man defence teams make him an unneeded luxury. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
gisabeer 409 Posted September 25, 2007 Share Posted September 25, 2007 I really should have included thompson when i made my comments about whittaker. thompson has done a decent job since he came but like his counter part i dont believe for a minute that any of the two of them should be ahead of hemdani in the selection stakes. Trailio 0 Posted September 25, 2007 Share Posted September 25, 2007 Firstly what's the point of chosing a loan player ahead of one of our own long term prospects IMO we should only chose the loan players as a last resort. When injuries/suspensions leave WS with no choice. So Faye should not be on the bench ahead of Hemdani, Adam, Gow or Burke. Secondly I actually think that SW complements AH very well on the right side. I agree he is not the most creative but the overlap option can be very confusing for opposition defenders. The fact that SW can comfortably cover for AH when he goes on his attacking runs forward and vise versa makes for a more secure unit. Agree as well Craig, Nacho deserves a chance but would it not put a break on Hutton from making so many brilliant forward runs if Nacho was playing? He knows Whittaker will cover for him.
