We are seriously short of a cohesive and creative midfield. Far too much rests on the shoulders of Tillman. Lundstram has a knack of moving around quite a bit and you wonder what his position actually was. Maybe he was out to create space, but somehow many were not on the same wavelength. Sands, in the first half, was clearly the holding chap in midfield and tried to help the centre-halfs to distribute the ball.

We have to get people on the park who are willing to shoot and have the ability to hit the target. Time and again we get to the penalty area, but responsibility is shifted to another player, who is often in a worse position or covered. Morelos again needs far too many chances to score, a habit he had before his injury too.

Just get the next game over the line and hope for the best with the injuries.

Gio seems to have been playing a 4-1-1-3-1 formation recently with one sitting midfielder and one who is behind the attacking 3 but joins them at every opportunity. Lundstrom was doing that in the first half but it's not really his game. Davis has also been given that role recently and it also doesn't suit him. Lundstrom went back and was the holding midfielder in the second half with Arfield in the "floating" role and it worked a bit better as it suits their natural games.

Tillman all day.

Hustled the whole match, scored the game winner, created chances.

Kent clocked in to create a couple decent passes in the second half.

The ENTIRE first half he sucked...half assed effort...losing the ball.

Nothing worse than a player who selectively sucks...or shines.

Waste of salary...

There's some awful crap posted about our players, much of it from me no doubt, but collectively we usually manage to get it right. Looking at the vote count this week, we certainly did.

As an aside Matondo had a poor game last night, but I still think there is something there with him.

If Kent who is a proven good player struggles, just about every player we play at RW struggles, then perhaps it isn't the players that is the problem. Would like to see more of him on the left cutting in. But if Kent returns to form that's unlikely in the short term.

My mate said exactly the same thing about Tillman's first half efforts. Was calling for him to be subbed at HT.
