They play different positions so need to bring different qualities to the team.

Raskin has started well but despite looking class in 1st half yesterday, he was terrible in 2nd half (and as said previously, he wasn't alone). I'm hoping more game time will benefit him and he'll be able to drive us forward for 90 minutes.

Kent, like many "wingers" before him can drift in and out of games and can frustrate. As an example, his run and cross yesrerday when Sakala missed for about 8 yards was outstanding. He needs to do this more, but I think we are a weaker team without him.

The stuff about Raskin wasn’t meant as a direct comparison between the two, just a small scale example of a player being more direct. What you’ve posted is about Raskin yesterday is fine by me and mirrors what I saw.

But I still believe Kent could be more direct and hurt teams more. He tends to dwell to much on the ball and hold play up.

In an way it’s a style that’s really effective for us in Europe at times, but I think holds us back domestically.

Neither of these points negate the overall view that Kent slows down our attacks in general, not just yesterday.

Frankly, I think Ryan Kent is the least of our worries and has been generally very productive since Beale took over. Kent is a good player with undoubted talent and is no more inconsistent than any of the great wingers who have graced this club. What he gives us will be as good as the manager's ability to get the best out of him.

A lot is being written about Raskin at the moment and I also find his mobility and aggression very exciting - but he's going to take a while to settle in fully. In my opinion, Todd Cantwell outshone him yesterday but it was Ryan Jack who provided the required 90 minutes of consistent midfield play. What I really did like in that first half was Jack and Raskin combining to produce balls into the channels. They actually have a lot in common.

The least of our worries perhaps. But I think worth a discussion when approaching his contract situation and roi of any renewal.

The drop in performance levels in the second half was a worry. We’ve seen this happen before this season. Some said it was fitness levels which I wasn’t convinced about. I thought on Saturday McInnes changed their game plan second half and it worked for them. We did nothing til later on.

Perhaps bringing on subs earlier & changing things would have been better.

Stats always tell us something useful but how much volume does it really speak to compare Kent to Kyoto, who spends his days parked in front of goal while Kent is asked to provide width.

I just can’t get past this with Kent. Goals are  too important to just sacrifice in his position.

It’s like settling for a defender with a lot of qualities but who’s poor in the air. It’s an Achilles heel, not something we can just accommodate for.

There are 5 Celtic players in that list who play Kent’s position. The lowest score from those is 9. Kent’s is 22.
