Whisper it quietly, and the signings haven't even kicked a ball yet...but  Michael Beale is doing pretty well in the transfer market.

 

If Raskin is a Wilson signing then Cantwell is definitely Beale's. Looking forward to whoever else he brings in.

Possibly named after a Windies Wicketkeeper from the 80s, which might have helped if he was a goalie. 

Jeff Dujon was also a handy batter, batsperson batsman though he got out in a Lord’s Test after being distracted by pigeons at short leg. Wasn’t there a pigeon at Ibrox used to fly about during the game? Wouldn’t want it distracting Sterling from his defensive duties.

Beale spoke a few times about how the club including him spotted Raskin when we played liege a few years back. 💯 down to Beale and nothing to do with Wilson who it will probably reveal in time was a useless imposter. The fact he has been gone 5 mins and we’ve got 2 signings announced and Butland supposedly on the way before the window opens speaks volumes for me.

Aye that's fair, the only reason I thought Raskin might've been Wilsons is because of his love affair with Belgian football.

Just seen the Sterling interview on rtv, as said above he is properly keen to come here. Seems a sincere lad from the little that was said and does look a bit gnarly haha.

 

If it's a 50-60 game season hopefully Beale will be comfortable with rotating him in for Tav, he's not getting any younger.

Stoke fans loved Sterling and a few Chelsea fans, including a Twitter Account (Chelsea Loan Signings or something similar) rated him as 8/10 and said he deserved a place in Chelsea's 1st team squad.

It looks like smart business. As far as I can tell, he doesn’t offer anything like the threat Tav does going forward, but he’s strong defensively and potentially a very good option for center-back cover.
