You're correct, but in our case we only need a true high press in certain games.

 

Domestically, the majority of teams let us have the ball so it's usually about beating a low block.

Like Liverpool the age of our squad and games in the legs has probably told in recent seasons. 60 game seasons with some players being used like a bar of soap (Tav, Goldson, Aribo etc) is going to tell eventually. Liverpool have been reaching UCL finals consistently as well as making cup finals, you can't rag your players forever like.

 

You can almost judge that teams peak by their front 3's age, with all of them being 27/28 between '19-'20.
