I remember, last season, Carragher said Lisandro Martinez was too small to be a premier league CB...

Plenty will disagree judging by the online discourse but he's an average defender who puts a foot in when he doesn't need to. I don't know why he's not playing at cdm for Utd, makes sense and hasn't he got previous?

Geniunely don't see a difference between him and a player like Gary Medel, they should try it.

Oh, come on: he's a much better player than Medel.

He did play as a 6 at Ajax on occasion.

And, in the Man Utd build-up phase he occupies the 6 position, too, now that Onana has been signed.

Did you not make a point about fluidity in formations a couple of days ago? And now you're criticising a player for not playing the correct position?

Aye that's fair.

I've been reading that Real Madrid are using the 4-4-2 diamond this season. Ancelotti going back to his roots.

I would really like us to lean into this formation: stop trying to shoehorn all these forwards in, and just play with two, and get Cantwell into the #10 position where he's best. We have a potential attacking threat from Raskin and Cifuentes, too, with Hagi and Dowell as back-up.

I think it should be Danilo and Lammers, with Dessers and Sima as the back-ups.

Why do that when you can just get the ball out to Barisic and Tav, cross it to one guy in the box v 5 defenders, then bring on Scott Wright when it surprisingly doesn't work.
