Oh they tried to get rid of Wright too. 

Unfortunately  they tried to transfer him to a Turkish re-education camp. 

I don't think Wright was too keen on that idea.

I thought it was the Turkish club that couldn't meet his wage demands rather than Wright turning them down?

I don't see how we could have kept Sakala and prevent him from earning £100K a week. We would have just been left with a demotivated player and £4 million less in our bank account.

Wright helps fulfil the homegrown quota which is required by UEFA.
