Thank God that's over.

Now it's on to backing Aberdeen, which it pains me to say.

It's a bit like being forced to choose between getting the pox or the clap.

Anyhoo, all together now:

Could have been more, should have been, but three points in the bag and that pitch behind us for a few months.

Nothing against Livingston, but that pitch and those players do not belong into our league. That angle of the sun in the second half was pretty aweful.

Not as fluent after half-time as Livi dropped really deep so we certainly didn't carry the same threat as the performance became more disjointed with various subs.

All in all it's very much job done though and concludes a really positive week for the club in three competitions.

Now a great opportunity to do some work on the training pitch and get more players fit for the usual busy period in the run up to the new year.

Difference now is we are all not sitting their expecting/worrying/waiting for a Livi equalizer! we seem to be a lot stronger of a unit these days under Clement!. Which is exactly what he is trying to implement.

This illustrates what I kept moaning about with us under Beale: our xG just wasn't high enough - or, the difference between xG and xGA wasn't wide enough; we were riding our luck, hoping our better players carried us over the line.

A weird game today in that we completely dominated from start to finish.amd should have won by 3 or 4 goals. We also looked comfortable against Livis kick and rush football that we've previously struggled against, especially on the plastic pitch.

Not many outstanding performances and would say Dessers, McCausland and Lundstram were the best three players.

Came way from the game today satisfied with another victory but frustrated that we could and should have won at a canter.
