Gersnet Rangers All-time XI | Day 8: Right-wing

Recommended Posts

As it's the international break, I thought we could partake in a little exercise doing the rounds on social media.

Every day we'll pick the best all-time Rangers player for each position.

The most voted player gets added to the lineup.

Yesterday's winner: Gascoigne

Day 8: Right-wing.

Who is the best all-time Rangers Right-winger?

[LCF - Day 9] - [RCF - Day 9]

Baxter - Gascoigne - [RW - Day 8]

Grieg

Robertson - Butcher - Gough - Jardine

Goram

The infamous problem position. Not the best by any stretch but two of my favourites playing there were Naismith(mostly for Killie) and wee Novo.

Will have to have a think about this one. If Laudrup can't get in on the left ahead of Slim Jim, he has to be a shout for the right. God.

Agreed. I picked Baxter for the inside left position, but Laudrup has to be in the GOAT team, so he's my pick for the right.

Laudrup.

Laudrup. (Now Lock the thread).

It would be a tragedy if Laudrup didnt get in the team. Best ever player to play in the blue shirt for me.

A good mention though to Trevor Steven, Alex Mikhailichenko and Peter Huistra but Laudrup was from another planet.

Waddell (Yes if Thornton’s CF which he won’t be)

Scott (But he needs McMillan as his inside man)

Henderson (Tempted to stop here and vote)

McLean T. (For the position illustrated he might be ideal as opposed to the traditional touchline operator)

Cooper (Genius on the right, on the left and in the forward right side of midfield. I don’t know why he’s not getting my vote)

Laudrup (Like Baxter, the name says it all)

We’ve been lucky to have had so many brilliant right wingers.

Was there ever such a thrilling sight at Ibrox as Alex Scott burning past a defender onto a thirty yard pass from McMillan inside the fullback and on the run, crossing the perfect ball for Millar to head into the net?

Nonetheless, it’s Laudrup.
