Is the buyer commited to having the same understanding or ending up with a pissed-off assistant manager? 2. What happens if there are a number of better candidates when Smith resigns? Are we to ignore them and just go with an untried McCoist? Yes it's quite ironic this. The team looked incredibly shaky against much lesser teams throughout the cup runs in contrast to the league form, which made McCoist not look so hot as a manager.
