  1. Past hour
  2. Was it the same one who said it was Gerrard the middle of last week?
  3. I read that a Saudi team is willing to pay £100 million for the Manchester United captain given that he's 30yrs old I say sell now if we could only get them interested in some of our stars
  4. People huv tae know!!! Is this deal watertight!!?
  5. I favour Martin over Ancelotti. Although, I think Fagioli is the best option out of the names mentioned, but I'm not sure about the link's validity.
  6. Today
  7. I think i will stick a few shillings on Inter Milan to lift the champions league trophy aye mon the tallys
  8. To be fair, another reliable poster on another forum said Martin was interviewed again today.
  9. Christ, even Keevins thinks the bhoy's an idiot. 🤣
  10. What was I saying about your negativity, compo?
  11. For the first time in many a year i'm looking forward to our first competitive match
  12. I think it will be Russell Martin
  13. I do not know. So I really need to get on with what we now have.
  14. Nice re-tweet from SF49ers even if they did get the red, white & blue in the wrong order 😃
  15. Cautiously optimistic about this. They obviously feel there is money to be made here but that will require money being spent and a successful team on the park.
  16. ... I read that as 20m of investment from these new boys. While no-one knows, there is essentially another half of shareholders who might have a few million to spare too. Aside from player sales. That said ... these 20m might not be used for transfers alone (though the women's team needs a new backline too). We, too, must be clever in our business for the time being, but apart from Americans like these, there are few businessmen on this planet who are cleverer.
  17. Ancelotti announced on Tuesday, according to a reliable poster elsewhere.
  18. You're absolutely right. We should be wary of them, but we can be wary and excited at the potential of the great unknown. There's not a contradiction in that. Why not allow ourselves to be excited? Why be pessimistic? It's like every player we sign. I hope he's going to be brilliant for us, and hopefully our new owners will be a well. They won't get everything right but as long as they're moving us in the right direction then that's a positive.
  19. Whose gloss is that? Gerrard’s or the Club’s? Can’t argue, though. The time is not right. Nor will it ever be.
  20. I can see where you are coming from but like many, probably including yourself, I've agonised over what we needed to.make us into a successful football club. I think we all can agree that the now previous board / investors had taken us as far as they could. They basically admitted as much themselves. Given that, and with not many other options, this seems the safest gamble (and we had to gamble). They are currently investing in Leeds and most Leeds fans speak positively about them. This is a genuine question from.genuine interest, if not this investment, what would you have liked to happen?
  21. Rangers have spoken to Francesco Farioli about becoming their new manager and the former Ajax boss will rival Davide Ancelotti and Russell Martin for the chance to replace Philippe Clement. (Scottish Sun) Steven Gerrard is out of the running to make a return to Rangers because the timing was not right despite positive initial talks. (Rangers Review)
  22. (You're welcome.)
  23. Forget Covid: our pandemic started in 2012 when we all contracted an incurable case of cynicism. With my political views I should be wary of venture capitalists but we tried Wee Tam and Big Hugh as staunch RFC men in the shape of Club 1872 and see what happened. I am excited; I went to bed last night envisaging a middle 3 of Cameron, Raskin (c) and Modric. Those 3 will ensure that the burden of goalscoring no longer lies solely with Cyriel. You may say I'm a dreamer.....you know the rest.
  24. This! Everything is a risk, but the takeover appears to be the best option, as we stand here today. Surely it has to be better than the status quo.
  25. If it’s only £20 million being put in I imagine this will have an effect on any new manager some managers want to spend spend spend so I think the new manager will be someone from nearer home maybe the bloke who was at Southampton
  26. If we had continued with the old board, I genuinely think we would've been looking at another financial event and in the mud. Thank god they seen sense and sold up.
