  1. Past hour
  2. I fully expect him to be first name on the team sheet every week and an extended contract.
  3. Gerrard should never have been allowed almost 4 years at the club with one single trophy. We cannot afford to not win the league again as the gap will widen far more than it is now , no matter whos been given the job.
  4. We all wanted Gio, Beale, Clement ? I dont know anybody that thought Beale or Clement should have got the job. There was a lot agreeable with Gio , myself included.
  5. They already told us the 20 mill is not even all for tranfer funds
  6. I expect tav will still start as captain in his starting place
  7. Do you think sellick’ll win it?
  8. Today
  9. Success is winning the league. Another good season in Europe, while closing the gap in the league, is a qualified success. Nothing else is of any importance.
  10. We all wanted Gio, Beale, Clement, and some wanted Barry Ferguson back . The board have chosen to ignore the fans on this one. Was this a wise decision based on what us fans wanted previously with Gio, Beale, Clement. I’m wondering would Martin actually be giving the transfer funds to implement this or will he be just like the named managers above. I have a small glimmer of hope and actually think we will be having more than £20 million allocated to us this transfer window+ the potential players from Leeds also.
  11. Never liked Waddell wins a couple of cups gets himself moved upstairs then acted like he owned the club plus tight as a coat of paint as well
  12. Le Guen: Brilliant. What a coup! Shows how much I (and many others) knew.
  13. SG didn't and survived.
  14. New manager by July, relegation and admin by May 26.
  15. Reactions to manager/coach appointments post Mr Struth excluding temps. Proves I’m not often right. Symon: who’s he, dad? White: big shoes to fill. Waddell: not before time. Wallace 1: why? Greig: too soon. Wallace 2: is this wise? Souness: ecstatic. Walter 1 : sensible for now. Advocaat: this is going to be good. McLeish: what? Well, I suppose. Le Guen: progress. Walter 2: relief. Who else could it have been? McCoist: is this really a good idea? Warburton: this could be the man. Pedro: Gordon flaming Bennett. Gerrard: bit of excitement, we’ll see. Gio: might be ok. Beale: something not right. Clement: on the right track. Martin: oh. There’s hope yet for the hipster without him needing my endorsement.
  16. The fans at my other clubs never wanted me either. Flipping heck. This fellow is too honest. Not sure I can watch more of this. Who knows what he will share next.
  17. I'm here to coach because I was rubbish when I played here. It would be fine if he just focused on saying nothing to them.
  18. Once again the Star Trek theme comes through. It was rumoured that Riker only grew his beard to upstage Captain Picard. A baldy in charge and a hirsute second in command. Rangers or Star Trek?
  19. Any new manager has got to win the league. Sadly this guy is not going to achieve it IMO.
  20. So the 20mill, how much is our new coach getting? Stewart talks like he has a gun to his head, and martin just answering the dumb questions with answers you would expect. He would be a fool to say he needs time. And a bigger fool to predict what he would win 1st season. Of course they only ask the pre approved questions so we won't get any real detail anyway. But. I hope it works out. Coz there's no going back now
  21. I had, 'He's a breath of fresh air,' on my bingo card.
  22. He spoke well and handled the press well so hes going to be a good manager. So did the last 6 managers and look how that turned out.
  23. 32 Teams take part some big names in it starts 15th June Real Madrid are favourites but the new champions league winners PSG must be in with a chance.
  24. I will save this comment for October.
  25. Let's see how many heads he will be able to coach ... ... but anyway, it's a different environment than those he managed in before, and with the right players, the results can be much different. Ancelotti would have used us as another testing ground to hone his skills, and no harm in that (to him). At least Martin has experience on both ends of the table, and knows what is required. Now let's see whom he gets in, but truth be told, my half is currently half-empty. Surprise us, please!
