The Rangers Summer 2025 Transfer Rumours and Deals - Thread

Fully agree. His fitness record is poor and cloying sentiment hasn't served us well recently. Footballers go where the money is and get paid a fortune, so getting emotional about them is just silly. -
Thinking back Gerrard managed the team that won 55 if it had been an election he’d have a landslide but don’t forget the other mob were in terminal meltdown at that time so you have to ask could Gerrard be a better manager than Rodger’s given that the Parkhead lot are miles ahead at the moment does Gerrard have the balls for a fight I doubt it .

Agreed that VC would normally make me nervous, but they seem to be fairly good owners for Leeds, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt at the moment.
-
The new owners would be calling the shots. The current board won't be able to do anything major without their say.
-
No but it’s a great little picture showing a bit of the Archie Leech stand

Davies and Dowell will return to us for the time being ... Birmingham City can confirm the list of retained and released players following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season. Grant Hanley and Lee Myung-Jae – who both joined the Club in January - have been released following the expiration of their contracts, while Luke Harris, Kieran Dowell and Ben Davies have returned to their parent clubs following respective loan spells. https://bcfc.com/pages/en/media-article/birmingham-city-confirm-retained-list -

Injury prone and getting on. We need to come away from the sentimentality surrounding these guys, if we're ever to maintain any level of success. He was a (very good) stop gap signing, thanks and good bye. -

Hopefully Tav can get a place for him in his back room team. -

Shame he wasn't aware of his contract not being renewed, the very least we should have given him a good send-off. -

Balogun knows how to defend. I like that in a defender. -

Very shocking indeed especially given the service he has given us, is this due to him calling out the teams poor performances? The very least he should of been given the chance to say goodbye to everyone at Ibrox. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cj422v7y2dpo -

I'm not positive about the takeover, but I'm not outright negative. I am dubious concerning the motivations of VC types, and how they might go about earning from their investment.
-
Well, he has a contract for c3.5 years. Maybe the plan (not a word we often associate with the Club, I concede) was to attract talent from the Maghreb, and from the Maghrebi diaspora, in Europe.
-
Maybe he is working from home?
-
Think he is just here to fluff Igamane's pillow.
-
No, Thelwell. Charai situation is an odd one, was wheeled out along with the other 4 when Clement left, then promptly disappeared again.
-
Issame Charaï , I presume. Assistant Manager on a 2.5 year contract, or thereby.
-
Aye, him anaw, forgot his name!.
-
He would have started already. Imagine he is on some sort of gardening leave at Everton. He was visiting Ibrox and the training ground a few weeks back with Marathe and Steinsson.
-
When did/does Thelwell start? He should be involved.
-
It would have to be Stewart and Steinsson, one would assume.
-
A question, who is signing off on the decision for a new manager? What level of input do the present boardroom have, compared to those who haven't yet taken over (51%) ?
-
Great picture but even that’s not the real Goodison.

Best of luck to him. Too injury prone to be offered another contract.
