  1. Past hour
  2. If you genuinely think it is just a winning culture and trying to bring in people who absolutely detest losing and love winning and won’t stop working and improving until we are winning everything and get rid of those who can accept that second isn’t too bad then I’ll gladly sign up to that. But you don’t need to hide behind the word culture in that scenario, just say it plainly - we only want winners coming in and want to drive that ambition and thought through every aspect of the club from pitch to boardroom and all levels in between. I had guessed the culture reference was more about style of play and tactics but I’d rather buy into your suggestion. In any event it should be fairly clear pretty soon if we can match the talk with the walk.
  3. I see Ian McLaughlin has passed away a tough little man
  4. Today
  5. Then we'd agree. What a load of nonsense this was.
  6. Meanwhile I am losing the will to live. I don't care what it is called just put winners on the park.
  7. Bang on and lets hope we sign some players soon to give us something to talk about and look forward to.
  8. If we have a successful side, people won't give a toss about what terminology club staff use. Actually, I might but I'm a grumpy git.
  9. Something we can agree on for sure. Sorry db for derailing the thread. 🙈
  10. For the love of God sign some players. We want a signing culture.
  11. I think what the majority of us are saying, it's all corporate jargon bollox that is just to appease and pay lip service to hey look we want to do this, and we'd actually prefer they just put it into practice. Give us a winning team, that rakes in the trophies. That's a culture and identity we can all get behind.
  12. Mabie some people cotton on to the over usage of the word culture, now, If you added the word heritage and didn't think of it in some weird footballing losses mentality then it's no suprise we jump on the over usage of this bad culture we have
  13. What are the current culture and philosophy at Real Madrid? Are they different at PSG? Does Liverpool have them?
  14. The S.F.A. statement was so boring. The whole thing is utterly boring. What we need is to end the compliance officer role, end all judicial panels, end use of V.A.R. and finally prohibit any televised broadcast of matches. No appeals for red cards and so on either.
  15. This match is like watching Rangers. One team sitting back and the other just passing it around, unable to break through. Brad Friedel's co-commentary is rubbish as well.
  16. Cavanaugh (sp?), Jean-Luc and Thelwell have used the term 'culture', in reference to need to change the culture of failure. Don't we all agree? Most have been saying it for ages, e.g. Tavernier. I don't see the issue, other than an unusual word. It appears to some sort of reverse snobbery.
  17. They actually should have been closed down.
  18. I think a lot of us were hoping for a big (general) upturn after the takeover announcement but it hasn't materialised. Too early to get the razorblades though.
  19. Because of the lack of transfers, or because we don't like hipster jargon and overcomplicating football? 🤓
  20. I might end up slitting my own wrists...
  21. No. Style is another word for philosophy. Club culture, as I've pointed out several times, is different.
  22. You just keep agreeing with my point, yet use the tone of someone that disagrees, angrily. I think you just don't like the 'buzzwords', which is fair enough. I don't mind either way - it's the same thing.
  23. Hopefully Raskin extends and we keep him this coming season. That's good strategy.
  24. If Tom Boyd had led to Celtic being fined then I wouldn't have a problem with the Brown situation. It is inconsistent and rightly highlighted by Rangers but it is time to move on until someone else calls the ref a cheat. All a bit of a circus, wish we had the football back to enjoy debating the games again.
