  1. Administration can in essence be the beginning process of liquidation. When a company goes into administration they are basically saying they don't know how to trade through it. The administrator then comes in (usually a firm of accountants specialised in insolvency) and attempt to trade back out of the administration (often by trying to cut costs, make deals with govt agencies for payroll taxes, VAT etc and by asking creditors to agree to reduced payouts). However, Administration doesn't always lead to liquidation. A number of clubs have been in administration and none that I can recall went bankrupt (Dumbarton maybe ???) - but I am hazy on those details. If they get the points deduction and relegation there is a chance they may go bankrupt - BUT that depends on the fans, sponsors, merchandising sales etc also dropping - and you often also get players taking wage cuts to help out. Administration is never good but doesn't necessarily mean that they will go out of business.
  2. Is on official site that the game is postponed

    Super Ally

Maybe, just maybe, he didnt feel the time was right for him. Maybe he was enjoying his TV duties and wanted a break from football. To lose respect for one of our greatest ever servants over something so petty, in my opinion, is irrational.

Agree completely. Spiers can say that the song is morally repugnant all he likes but he is every bit as immoral by using it to sell his wares - and he has done a shite job at that over the years. There is no depth that this man will not stoop.
  5. Mols went to Feyenoord knowing he would be a back up. Remember reading about it.
  6. Why tell lies ? Novo has played very well when called upon and would continue to do so - he isnt the type to not try. And I think WS is saying pretty much what everyone, including Novo, already knows.

    Big Jock Knew...

As buba said... it is nothing to do with us and I think those who see it as "raising the issue" are trying to justify and sanitise the real reasons why it is being sung. I wouldn't class all Rangers fans in that category but you are guilty by association when it comes to football chants - much like "EffTeePee" - not everyone sang it but we all are guilty by association. Anyone that thinks singing Big Jock Knew at Ibrox is a good thing is fooling themselves
  8. But WS was talking about Novo specifically so why would he not talk about Novo's position in the squad specifically ?
  9. How can you say that he is singling out Novo in that context ? He was talking about Novo's contract so who else would he speak about ? Yes he singled out Novo but only due to him speaking about Novo's contract - he would hardly speak about Novo's contract and then say "Whittaker isng guaranteed a place in the team". Maybe he could have said no-one is guaranteed but when he is talking about Novo I am sure his responses should be about Novo.

    Big Jock Knew...

If this isn't a points scoring exercise then I just wonder how many of those fans at Ibrox on a Saturday that sing about "Big Jock Knowing" have actually taken this to their MP or their local constabulary.... I would bet the number would be very close to zero. Which makes it a points scoring exercise in my opinion. If the issue is to be raised why is it that Rangers fans are choosing to do it at a game rather than through the normal channels ? Simply put, IN MY OPINION, it is a points scoring exercise and it makes US look bad. Also.... just what is being achieved by singing this song ? Is it actually raising awareness ? Is anything being done about the crimes ? Are the abused thankful for the reminders ?? I would suggest that very little good has come of us singing these songs and "raising the issue".

You obviously could be right Cammy - but is it really OUR responsibility to highlight it or should it be the responsibility of those abused and their families ? It isn't as clean cut as any of us wish to believe - but the one thing I am quite sure of is that Rangers fans are using it as a points scoring exercise and that leaves a bad taste in this bear's mouth.
  12. To be fair though Gribz.... Lyon's game next week has already been postponed (I believe)
  13. So if Hutton, BF or McGregor get injured against Lyon next week we should seek a postponement of the following game too ? Come on, we should have a squad big enough to cope.

It could very well be offensive to those who were abused - has a thought ever been given to whether or not they would rather not be reminded of it ?
  15. Nice one Beattie
  16. Nothing worse than when only one team busts you. Didn't touch a coupon this week, thankfully.
  17. Reading up 1-0 on Boro
  18. How is your secret coupon looking Gav ? Did you put your 1 million quid on it or are you waiting till after the games before you put it on (as L_A_T suggested ?)
  19. That still would burst your coupon
  20. Man City up 1-0 after ONE MINUTE..... :uzi: :fish:
  21. No it wasn't... they didn't win :fish: Great to see the Tims drop points though, just hope we don't screw up by not picking up a win today
  22. I agree. We hear all about how we have a much larger, and better, squad so put the squad to use. We should be able to bring in players like Buffel, Gow, Whittaker, Burke et al and still beat Gretna. I also am not convinced that an 11 day lay-off would help us. Plus it sets precedence - if we get our game postponed then the Tims could rightfully get theirs postponed too and that would lead to fixture congestion. As Gav says, it is Gretna, not Celtic, Hibs, Hearts or the sheep - just get on with it and utilise the squad we have.
  23. About time they dropped points thanks to last minute goals. Now we just need to ensure we keep the pressure on with a win today
  24. Aye but wait till the Super Talbot get Boness - game over for your dreams in the Cup again Cammy.... just like the other year when they got punted out (or did they just throw in the towel as they knew they were on a hiding to nothing :fish: )
  25. What about a Celtic goal against us ? :fish:
