  1. Stop obsessing over them so much
  2. 2 out of the 4 for me. Chelsea have a very tough tie in Munich and Leipzig are a decent team who could topple Spurs. I suspect City and Liverpool will see off the Madrid teams.
  3. Odds are generally determined by how much cash is being placed on each team. Many people betting likely have never heard of Cluj, so despite them having beaten Celtic twice this season their odds will be higher.
  4. Disagree. Gerrard is shouting at another player to adjust formation. Isn’t saying anything to Morelos
  5. Nah, the injury he took looked horrid - was at the back post and he and the opponent got tangled up with his arm being twisted behind his back whilst locked straight. Would have resulted in the same injury to almost every other player.
  6. Maybe he shouldn't be too surprised but NOBODY deserves to have a close family member's death rubbed in their face. Everything I have heard about Scott Brown is that he is actually a very nice person privately. My son has met him a few times through Kevin Thomson and really likes him as a person.... hates him on the pitch right enough. Singing fuck the huns isn't that big of a deal IMO - we live in a perma-offended society. We all laughed at Bob Malcolm signing an autograph with FTP or Findlay singing the sash. I'm not going to get bent out of shape about a solitary word. Where my real frustration lies is in the inconsistency of its application.
  7. Don't ask him what we did with the cucumbers.
  8. If you think I'm insulting you then apologies. But I'm not. You, however, insulted Gonzo, as he did you. I asked for it to be refrained from. Instead of apologizing for the insult you defended yourself in a childish manner that you only retaliate. The rules of the forum are pretty clear. Be civil and refrain from personal insults, whether initiated or retaliatory. Pretty simple, and I would ask you, and all other forum members, to abide by them.
  9. There is no clic (sic). Maybe you should just not throw insults around and then you wouldn't get pulled up on it. Gonzo is so heavily involved in the clic that its only a month since he was given a temporary ban from the forum.... some member of the clic (sic) he is The message goes to everyone. Gonzo, please also refrain from "sniff sniff" tactics when they aren't needed
  10. Can we not make personal insults please, no matter how we deflect from the meaning of what we say
  11. Wonders will never cease... Bill agreeing with buster
  12. Maybe people need to get out a bit more then...
  13. I think I would be more concerned if the performance and result were reversed in all honesty.
  14. Thursday's match will tell us a whole lot too
  15. If Davis was fit I suspect Aribo would have been the player to make way.
  16. More likely a promotion
  17. You almost had me till the part in bold.... Julien was the player closest to the linesman
  18. So, let me get this right coop. 1. You are questioning whether Gerrard is telling the truth ? "If, and its a huge IF, SG nominated Alfie". 2. You are suggesting that the captain of the team goes against the wishes of his manager Yep, that makes perfect sense to go against the wishes of the manager. A certain way to ensure that a tight-knit team remains tight knit is by going against the manager's express wishes and pissing off another team-mate at the same time. Yep, makes perfect sense I may be in the minority but it sure looks to me like you have found your scapegoat for yesterday's defeat - its a shame, particularly given Tavernier was one of our better players. Even more of a shame given the person who actually DID miss the penalty was one who missed a number of chances during the game. Personally, I wouldn't have ANY scapegoats as they all worked tirelessly for the cause.
  19. "Support" as in "Kent is over-rated and we shouldn't have bought him ? I would, on the whole, agree though. Far too many in our support see every loss, every point dropped, as an opportunity to absolutely crucify players. Internet and social media have created this easy form of anonymity. Boils my piss that people slate players who have given absolutely everything and played their opponents off the pitch - almost as if they forget that there are 11 other players out there trying to prevent you from winning, along with poor officials and a huge slice of bad luck.
  20. So selective highlighting then ? Gotcha
  21. Spot on Bill. Too many in our support see a loss and think the world has ended. Since Gerrard has come in he has made us competitive against that lot again. Prior to that you KNEW we would get humped. We now are playing them off the pitch (when Gerrard gets his tactics right, as he did yesterday) - we have come a very long way in a very short space of time against a club who have had consistency for the better part of a decade. There is much to be positive about, despite the result. We now KNOW we can go up against this club and compete. With Ross Wilson in, one can hope that we see us strengthening again, whether it be January or the summer. What I will say, is that those players gave everything yesterday, to a man, and can be very proud of their efforts. They deserve our support, not our criticism. I could see criticizing them if they didn't show up or lacked character, but they showed both in spades.
  22. Wholeheartedly agree with this - and that was why I made my previous statement that this could help our season. Much to be taken from the game - we didn't let them play, and we found the way we should be playing against them every game.
  23. Were you also saying this after the Hamilton game or the Hearts semi-final ? Or do we now need to assess on a game by game basis ? I would suggest you take a look at the highlights again and watch whenever Kent gets the ball..... every time he got the ball he was was at least doubled up and sometimes trebled up. Makes it difficult for him to have a direct impact on the game - but it does allow him to indirectly impact the game but opening up space for others.
  24. Are you really STILL saying Tav shit it ? Even after Gerrard said that Morelos was designated penalty taker ? RS probably took the defeat as badly as you or I.... the difference between him and you is that he is also being pragmatic enough to see that we didn't ack mental weakness and dominated the game. Not everyone has to be cup half empty after a loss.
  25. You could say FOUR decisions - because Brown made contact with Morelos in the box and, technically, should have been a penalty - not given. Then Christie pushes Morelos in the back to make a clearing header - again, blatant penalty, not given. FOUR critical decisions and every single one went for Celtic. Every single one. And they say they even themselves out over the course of the season ?? In the last two games we have lost a Cup final and fallen two points behind in the league - some of it down to our own failings but it can't, or shouldn't, be ignored that much of it is down to awful officiating.
