Aye, our CB's for decades have been nothing more than physical lumps. Much as though McLeish and Miller were a great partnership.... it is criminal how few caps Alan Hansen got because he was a far, far better player than them both !!
-
Yeah, more the point being made than the actual player. Davie Weir was exceptional for us, but probably slower than me. The difference, which is the point you are making, is that the first 5 yards are in the head with a player like that. Positioning and seeing a phase of play before it happens negated Weir's lack of pace significantly.

Robertson ? Tierney (to a lesser extent) ?

Incredibly generous - and I may very well take you up on that offer if it happens, though hopefully you get one !

The Winter 2019/20 Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread

I'm positive that SG said it was him and his coaching staff when studying how Dundee played - said that even though Kamara wasn't starting all the time that he was the one player that stood out and was head and shoulders above every other player - and that the way he played suited our style. -

Damn. I don't want to see us lose ANYBODY in January. But I feel Kamara is really starting to find his early year form again. Thought he was at the heart of everything good we did on Sunday past. Would hate to see him go because I think he can be a very, very good player for us. Remembering also that Davis isn't getting any younger - I think Kamara alongside Jack could be a fantastic engine room for us. For once Stevie, I really hope youre wrong. -
Thanks BD, appreciated my friend. There are far more in the world in a far less fortunate position as I am in. So whilst my ex is brutalizing me, I won't be complaining too heavily. Back on topic though.... it is kind of sad that I am hoping that I don't get allocated tickets for the final as I don't want to be in the middle of son wanting to go to football and mother not wanting to take him. Good luck to everyone, except me, in getting tickets
-
Crap, sorry to hear that stewarty. If you ever need a willing ear to bend my friend, you know where I am ! Particularly brutal when being asked for a divorce via WhatsApp And even worse with a son who just entered his Nat 5 year so a very important year for him
-
No doubt if I’m lucky enough to get tickets for my son and the soon-to-be ex-wife she will refuse to take him because she “didn’t enjoy the experience last year”..... which is the nonsense she gave me for the semi final...... and even said my kid wouldn’t want to go.... despite not knowing he had already told me he did want to go.... So I ended up giving them away.... So I may have two tickets available if I’m “lucky” enough for them to get tickets in the ballot ?

Kamara for me. Everything good we did went through him. The way he receives the ball, passes and moves makes it very difficult for opponents to track his second run, which opens up so much space, not just for him but his team mates. One stray pass aside (which he recovered) I thought he was close to flawless.

There are plenty reasons we should never forget OR forgive Scottish football for. -
Kevin Thomson told me a couple of weeks ago that if this Youth team has all of its players available then no other team in the country could live with them.

Gerrard in his post match interview just makes you like him all the more. Spot on about his comments pre-game and how Holt should actually read what Gerrard said. -

Our back 4 looks very solid right now. No coincidence given we’ve a consistent back four. Very tough on Katic but Helander and Goldson look very solid. -

Think Kamara has been fantastic today. Simple pass and move and he’s creating space for not just himself but others too -

Every game is a must win game. He has already shown he will rotate his team. We know Morelos is the best striker we’ve had in ages but burn him out at our peril. we should have more than enough for Livvy, even on their shitty plastic pitch. Defoe is still a quality striker who knows where the net is. keep riding Morelos till he’s exhausted and can’t play in important Europa and OF games ?? Not for this bear.
