The Winter 2019/20 Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread

They might have to pay some of his wages.... we know that Celtic are very adept at putting massive amounts of positive spin on any of their signings, in OR out. -
I hope they do because they will be opening a massive can of worms that ultimately should bite them hard.

Yes, he will. Because Kennedy was suggesting his injury was short term, even hinting he may participate in training in Dubai.

hahaha. Brass neck of that lot looking for consistency

wow, that is actually some deal for us if true. Ross Wilson already working some magic ??? -
No he hasn’t. Turns 16 this month so will be in the process of deciding just now. He trained with Kevin Thomson Academy last week along with my son. He’s a fine young man, mature for his age and clearly a very good player too. I wished him well whatever his decision though obviously want him to stay at Rangers. He was guarded about that and gave nothing away..

I know it’s football and I know it’s fickle and I know players rarely show loyalty to clubs for any length of time.... However, the way our player react to goals and wins just now.... and the way they react to Gerrard after goals and wins.... suggests to me that they all realise they are on the verge of something special - and there can be absolutely no doubt that if 55 is delivered this year then every single player will be considered a legend. I honestly believe that they sense the magnitude of what they stand on the brink of. Optimistic thinking ? Probably. But I really do get the feeling that these guys understand what they’re on the cusp of and Gerrard has been talking about it a lot recently so you can almost feel that this is being used as the motivation to continue to find ways to win. ill be disappointed if we lose any players that have played reasonable amounts of time this season. And I’m hoping the usual 17 or 18 see the history they stand on the edge of and decide to stay . -

Maybe they’re looking at Barisic seeing as he’s better than glass ankle Tierney. i dont think it would be Morelos to be honest Given they have Aubamayang, Lacazette, Martinelli already, but I COULD see it being Jack as a holding midfielder. He’s better than anything they have in that position. -

Nice try mate but it’s already been posted and most know it was top trolling from Stevie ?? -
First incident. So no penalty
-
Problem with that is that it requires a FIFA, or IFAB specifically, change to the rules because it changes the offside rule conpletely

Think we could be doing with another striker too -

Again..... King has said they wouldn’t accept offers for Morelos so right now it appears we don’t need to sell. Barisic is a key player for us too. So if we aren’t selling Morelos I doubt we would sell Barisic. IIRC, King has said that he and the 3 Bears will fund the club till the end of the season personally. So no need to sell right now -

One thing to remember is that if we win the league not only do we get the chance at the CL riches but we also deny them that same opportunity - their wage structure is a CL wage structure.... if all they have is the Europa they will need to cut their cloth yet again. -

Given King has previously stated that we wouldn’t accept any offers for Morelos I would contend that we ARE in a position to be knocking back huge bids, at least until the summer. Highly doubt we sell any crucial squad members given yesterday’s result and that we are now truly in with a chance of securing the title -

Should ask him why there wasn’t a retake in the final seeing as Forster was off his line ??♂️ -

Don’t think he tried to leave anything on the player, tried to keep it in play. Tried to be too smart. Still handball though -

Been living on the moon ?

He may have made a mistake inviting Gers fans to Guimaraes - his hometown could be deluged with Bears for a good time

And that's the thing Ian. I don't think (m)any of us can actually complain about Morelos's booking at the weekend. He shouldn't have done it, it was a booking, he had already been booked, and should have been sent off given that. The issue isn't whether he should have been booked or not - it is the complete and utter inconsistency of it all. There are multiple times it happens, not just by opposition players to Rangers fans but in almost every game there is - Boyd did it when he scored against Aberdeen I think and they had been calling him a fat bastard and he ran over to them making the fat belly motion. Technically a booking - nothing happened. The inconsistency in the application is incredible ! You are wrong, by the way, when you said "no other player would have been sent off for that".... Halliday and Candeias got sent off for similar (2nd bookings)…. however, you and I both can see the theme and I get the point you were making
