We did convert one of our chances, and nobody can say if we would have lost or not if the goal had been allowed. so it's incorrect to say that's not why we lost. It's one of the reasons. It's a bit arrogant to tell people what people should and should not be focussing on. It's not an either/or. We can debate more than one aspect of the game.

By that logic, we shouldn't complain about the manager or the tactics either as it's not going to prevent it happening again.

The defender is turning and not really in control. It's pure supposition that the defender is about to play the ball with his left foot.

I've looked at it again and there's not enough evidence to suggest he was swinging his foot at the ball. He had taken a few steps without swinging his foot at the ball and it looks to me as if this was just another step. It's in no way a clear and obvious error and I really don't think it's a foul.

That's not what I saw. Dessers inserts his foot between the player and the ball. Dessers doesn't trip him.

He didn't call it a foul. He allowed it and there was nothing clear and obvious to suggest he should change his decision (other than his obvious allegiances)

What was the foul? He got himself between the player and the ball. I haven't seen any analysis of it but in no way did I think it was a foul.

How many times what? It's an important point of the game so why wouldn't we discuss it. I'm raging about it, so again, why wouldn't we discuss it and highlight it? Are you suggesting we don't mention being cheated and meekly accept it? Do you have a list of what you think we should be discussing?

It's about time that he was shown the door. For someone with a level of legal expertise, we lost a hell of a lot of court cases and signed dodgy contracts under his watch, and that's before we look at what he did with C1872.

Has Yilmaz failed in a competitive game? He wasn't great preseason but Sterling hasn't set the world on fire. Out of the 2, I'd go with Yilmaz if he's fit enough.

I'd say that 60% was the quality of the opposition. Yes, the tactics may not have been great and the players weren't all it but PSV were excellent. I listened to a pre-match review on H&H and they said that PSV wouldn't improve midfield and attack but they did. They win 90% of games against us playing like that IMO, no matter the tactics or performance of our players. Sometimes we need to acknowledge that we were beaten by a better side. That's obviously not to say that we couldn't have improved on several aspects but I still don't see us getting any sort of result if we had.

That's maybe where Lundstram gets the nod over Cifu. He can drop back into defence and make it a back 5.

I agree to an extent. Cifu wasn't that bad, but didn't really get into the game that much. I'm not concerned if he starts but I feel that Beale may swap him with Lundstram.

Same team as home leg, although he may swap Lundstram for Cifuentes. Matondo may be kept on the bench to hit them later when they tire.
