I think it's a result from him, if the provision was part of the deal and wasn't subsequently negotiated. I guess Bayern held the cards when doing the original deal and may have had this inserted into the deal and there was nothing done about it, although maybe they've asked us to change the deal and it's something that suits both parties. Tillman didn't appear that keen on signing for us so best to get some cash in the door instead.

Patterson had the ability to have played a lot more for us, and would have had he not been up against the club captain. I'd like to think that Gilmour would have played a lot had he stayed. Lowry was unlucky to an extent last season with injuries and personal issues, and also the loan of Tillman. It's make or break for him next season. Hopefully he's learned a lot from Cantwell and can have his application.

Yeah, I don't do that either. I don't agree or disagree. They're just an irrelevance to me. I'm going into the preseason hoping all of our signings will be wonderful, and I'm excited because we'll have new players and I have very little or no opinion on them until I actually see them play. I remember when we signed Herrera and Alfie. In the first friendly at Ibrox, Herrera played firs half and Morelos the second and it was clear that Alfie was by far the better player. I didn't know anything about either beforehand. It's not to say that I'm denigrating the use of statistics. I've just personally got no interest in them and it's disappointing to see many (not you) using them and writing off Lammers before they understand how we're going to use him. or how he's going to perform in a Rangers jersey.

Agreed, I'd much prefer to trust in Beale's judgement than try to prejudge a player based on some statistics that may or not be relevant, depending on how we're set up. #Old school loyal

During Feb, many fans were hoping he'd sign a new contract and while some questioned his scoring record, I don't recall anyone criticising his effort or attitude. Whether his performances and lack of appearances in April and May were due to fitness issues or the fact that he had decided to move, we'll never know but it certainly appeared to me to be fitness related.
