  1. He's arguably the only match winner we had this season, and arguably POTY. He's still young and learning, not unlike Aribo and Bassey and look at the way they progressed, and Tillman probably had more potential. Aribo struggled with OF games in his first season and learned a lot and I'd hope that Tillman could progress and be able to shine in these games. It is a lot of cash and it is a risk but if we can afford it then I'd say go for it.
  2. Wes is still staunch! Good luck to him.
  3. This season maybe, but last season was arguably my favourite season in the last 30 years. The highs we had will live with me forever. Was there one Rangers fan complaining about uninspiring instability 365 days ago? Even at the end of August, I don't recall any complaints. We had had one draw in the league due to dodgy refereeing and had incredibly qualified for the CL group stages. It was in September that the wheels started to come off. Wilson perhaps, although many of the complaints could arguably be the responsibility of the managers. I still can't see much of an argument as to why it's Robertson's fault.
  4. Just to be pedantic, his three starred restaurant in Chelsea is restaurant Gordon Ramsay. Petrus is in Knightsbridge and has one star.
  5. And it's that level of incompetence/underhandedness by the authorities that makes me fear that the current SNP investigations will come to nothing.
  6. I did. You gave one insignificant reason why you thought it was the "best news" but you would have had others unless your intention was to troll.
  7. So he can cost us more millions with his screwed up retail deals, and vote against the club raising much needed capital? Yeah, brilliant
  8. I could tell that you didn't, which is why I said that it wasn't aimed at you, but others have been abusive, when they've probably got no idea as to what he does.
  9. Not a dig at you, mate, but the lack of respect for Dickson elsewhere is disheartening. He's a bluenose who has given over 30 years of service to the club.
  10. That's surprising, particularly given his length of service of over 30 years. He'd have a huge amount of institutional knowledge. Could be that the new COO role that I'd heard about would cover some of his responsibilities?
  11. That's fair enough, although obviously difficult to come short when the ball is being punted up in the air by McGregor and it's more difficult to win free kicks with Scottish refs, who are loathed to give Alfie anything at the best of times.
  12. A general question on Morelos. I've been reading lots of people on twitter saying he should never play for the club again after Sunday, but I didn't think he was that bad. He out in the effort although struggled at times to win headers against a far bigger centre half, but did win some. He linked the play up, although gave away he ball on one occasion. He wasn't brilliant but he was okay. Have I got it wrong and he does deserve the abuse for Sunday's game?
  13. Largely agreed, although I'm presuming that Bisgrove will have a lot more responsibility than Robertson had. That's possible. I did hear that Bisgrove may not be around too long but I'm not sure about that one. It does appear that Bennett is looking to shake up things.
  14. As far as I'm aware, the new position wouldn't preclude the appointment of a DoF. It's a non-footballing appointment. I didn't hear anything about a DoF either way.
  15. Many are saying that but it could have long term effect on their development if they're thrown in too early. There's none that I've seen that are ready to start against Aberdeen and our support are particularly unforgiving at the moment so I'd fear for the effect on them if we were to lose.
  16. Exactly. It was Raskin's ball and the other players would expect him to go to it and pass to them. He just took a brain fart and did something that he'll never have previously done.
  17. I've heard that we're planning to have a Chief Operating Officer (COO) as well, presumably reporting to the CEO and taking on many of Robertson's responsibilities.

    MyGers

I don't think so. I've one of the most expensive season tickets, I've had it for many year and I attend all home games and am on CCCS for semis and finals but I think I'm mid silver. Those high silver and gold are people who apply for every away ticket, including European games and have done so for the last 5(?) years.

Mine is that there's a mixture in both. Exclusively? No. I didn't say that. However I do feel that fans who attend all away games deserve a better chance of tickets than I do. If you feel that you have as much right to big game tickets as them then it's your prerogative. I guess an extension of your argument would be that season ticket holders should have the right to automatically renew their tickets and everyone should go into a ballot as attending games in the past shouldn't be recognised by the club?

    MyGers

How do you differentiate them from those who can't be arsed going to any games but want a chance of going to an OF game by just joining Mygers? It's not a case of saying that someone is a better fan as such, but more rewarding loyalty by giving those who go to more games a better chance of a ticket than those who don't. I don't go to away games so I'd expect those who do go and have season tickets to have a better chance of certain tickets (Seville for example) than me. I don't look on them as being "better" but just as fans who deserve a better chance of tickets. If you think all members of Mygers should have an equal chance of big game tickets then it's a valid viewpoint but just not one that I agree with.

I don't think it does, does it?

I disagree. Attendance at games has to come into it. It can't be fair for someone who is a Mygers member but hasn't attended any games this season having as big a chance of a semi-final ticket as someone who has attended all the games. There are flaws in the system (it shouldn't be based on how much you're able to throw at things like NEH, for example) but if it rewards those who go to games then it's generally a good scheme.
  24. I'm also disappointed that we had to sell half the Albion to help fund it.
  25. When were the protests? My memory isn't great lol. You could be right and maybe it's my memory playing tricks. There certainly was a chunk of the support who weren't interested in the financial side.
