  1. Isn't it wonderful that when they win, it's down to their good football but when we win it's because teams lie down to us.
  2. That feeling was shared by most (if not all) at the meeting. Hopefully steps will be taken to address that but obviously these steps are not the kind of thing that is suitable for a press release, particualarly at this stage.
  3. Maybe, but given his business experience and the dealings I've had with him (albeit many years ago) it's not a trait that I'd instantly pin on him, but pressure can make people react in different ways.
  4. But it isn't with MIH. It's with Rangers, which makes PM's comments all the stranger.
  5. Are you saying that the RST DO have access to all the details? Interestingly enough, a senior member of the RST board seemed to be speaking out against the Whyte bid yesterday.
  6. Agreed. The fact that they are silent on it suggests that there is little planned for the future.
  7. Presumably only SDM and LBG saw the details during the first 4 months and they were happy as it met their main concerns. It's only once the Committee saw the details that the main concerns were raised. It's possible that SDM is not in a position to ensure any sort of "legacy".
  8. It's a big assumption to say that he will be in control of the debt. We don't know if the lender(s) will be any easier to deal with than LBG and it seems that whyte is hell-bent on increasing the debt levels again, to give the funding that he is promising. I think that you mean owner rather than chairman, but I take your point. The Paul Murray proposal appears to have major flaws as well, and he has failed in explaining the benefits and how it would work going forward. It's not something that we can get excited about as it it currently stands.
  9. I'm sure he has been trying.
  10. Calscot, you don't always want your enemies to know what your plans are.
  11. We are now having to scrutinise every word.
  12. The suggestion has been that the CW deal just moves the debt away from LBG and to someone else so we are not better off.
  13. I doubt it. It's not an RST statement. Probably produced by the guys from the Nithsdale.
  14. That's where the support have been misled. Newspaper reports stated stuff like "A deal would also see Rangers' debt wiped out and significant funds made available to sign new players." and Whyte has done nothing to correct this misconception. If what you have said is true then Whyte has obviously then been misleading people in a Murrayesque manner, and it's out of the frying pan.....
  15. Yes. We as a support need to be more proactive and active and hopefully that message will start to filter through.
  16. I'd say there was rivalry between FF and both RM and VB, but GN, VB and RM all get on fairly well. FF don't want anything to do with GN, which is their perogative but I wouldn't say there's a rivalry between us. Don't know anything about where GF fit into anything.
  17. SDM can sell to Whyte but he is then left with a board of directors that he can't control, if they refuse to resign. he could remove them by calling an EGM, but I'd hope that they would bow to the inevitable and resign rather than go through the protracted and messy option.
  18. I got the impression that the debt was being cleared, not just moved to another provider. If all he is planning to do is move the debt and provide funding to McCoist by putting us further in debt then I'm not impressed.
  19. Moving from LBG to someone else may help short term, but I see little benefit in the medium term. I'd probably prefer some UK bank that may feel obliged to answer concerns very occasionally than some faceless offshore company or a foreign bank who don't give a shit as to how they are perceived in the UK/Scotland. I've raised the additional finance question numerous times. If it's not a gift then it will need to be repaid at some point and there's been no suggestion as to how the cash was going to be made available.
  20. I presume that you mean "from an offshore company"? So you are saying that Whyte never had any intention of clearing the debt, and therefore presumably he was misleading the support?
  21. Murray doesn't have the cash himself and probably was not in a position to buy the club years ago.
  22. When one man controls over 90% of the shares, there's little they could do.
  23. I'd trust the current directors of the club before I'd trust SDM.
