Of course Murray rushs to let Johnston and Bain know MIH business before anything has been been agreed. Meanwhile in the real business world....
-
There's no reason why Johnston or Bain should be aware of any talks at this stage if no formal offer has been made.
-
The commitee will have no say in whether MIH sell their shares. They will be in a position to recommend to other shareholders whether the buy-out is good for the club or not. However, given that some of them may depend on the new owners for their future income, can they be relied on to give an objective opinion?

I don't think that there's a bid in place yet. There are just ongoing discussions.
-
Strange that some members of the RST seem to be aware of this, and others like myself aren't.
-
Tixway seems to be a company that has virtually nothing going through it, but that, in itself proves little as it's easy enough to set up shell companies with a view to using them in the future. Its accounts are overdue, which isn't reassuring and most of the other connected compaines listed on that site are new, with no trading record. I'm sure there's a lot more information out there but it's not clear at the moment and I'm guessing that most of Craig Whyte's businesses are off-shore and not available to public scrutiny.

There seems to be some confusion about Liberty's and Ellis's. I don't have much information but if you go onto Liberty Capital's website, it states If you go onto the "contact us" section of the website and details: Head Office: Liberty Capital Ltd. Aldermary House, 10-15 Queen Street London EC4N 1TX, United Kingdom However, what is strange is that there is no such (British) company called "Liberty Capital Ltd".

Nope, despite numerous requests over the years from members.
-
There's a fine line between saying something may happen, which is what most reports do, and saying it is happening, which is what the Trust have done, when the information is market sensitive. :admin:

It's interesting that the RST have announced on their website that Craig Whyte is "buying the club" before the stock exchange has been informed. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/banksandfinance/5760792/Individuals-face-minimum-fine-of-100000-for-insider-trading-as-FSA-cracks-down.html

Correct. He got injured very late on, I believe.

A martin david ellis was appointed to the board of Liberty International Holdings Ltd in September. Don't have a clue if it's the same company and/or person or just coincidence.
-
Is that not a different Ellis?
-
There's been strong rumours for a while that Ellis hadn't disappeared, so no surprise if he is involved.
-
Yup, so good it was well worth posting it twice.

I guess it depends whether you find racist comments offensive or not.

From his twitter Spiers obviously has a different definition of off the record to the rest of us.

I prefer the way that the system previously dealt with new posts. It was new posts since my last visit, which I found helpful. Now, it's everything that I haven't read, much of which I have no wish to read given the number of posts that come from "Walter" or "Jim White". I know that I can go onto the forum home page and mark them read, but I've no wish to do that every time I visit the site.

Rangers 2 - 0 Aberdeen: Player Ratings and MoM Poll
Bluedell replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I though Fleck was fairly anonymous. He'd be near the bottom of my list of MOTMs, but I'd agree that there were no stand-outs. -
Not sure why he uses "old firm" but it's a blatant attempt to try and deflect from the fact that he leaked Walter's off-the-record briefing last week. Interesting that he finds it offensive. Will the club now have the balls to ban this nonentity?
-
I also think that Calderwood has a point. I don't see that we should hold a minute's silence for an English footballer that has nothing to with our club or Scotland, for example. Sorry but I fail to see why there should be a minute's silence for someone just because he dies on a football pitch. I don't see that it deserves any more respect than if he had died at home. Both places are equally tragic.

Some of the new smilies are difficult to make out. Wink and roll eyes are a real struggle in particular....although I know you'll say it's my age.
