That's what I thought. Why even put it to a vote? You would have thought that at least 7 clubs would not want to reduce the size of the league.

To be fair, he's not pleading "with the banks that control Rangers' finances not to force out more players." He's just stating the obvious.

All Bheast FC transfer rumours and movement

I wonder what the Palestinian loving Green Brigade think of this. -
But she's not a director, which the point that Boss was making.
-
Hope the weather clears a lot as I'm away to Liverpool this weekend.
-
When was she appointed? She was not a director in Spetember, and presumably wasn't a director at the AGM? Companies House don't have any note of her being appointed.
-
Most probably due to the new site being crap and not fully set up, although you never know. Most of all the old information seems to have disappeared. However we seem to have acquired a director called Carol Patton.

Kenny Miller - Another mercenary or underpaid and undervalued?
Bluedell replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I don't disagree with you but It's interesting when they tried it in the pastwith certain players the messageboards were full of criticism of the board. He won't be missed? If he wasn't playing over the last month or so then he would be severely missed even though he hasn't been on top form. A returning Jelavic wouldn't be a replacement for Miller anyway as presumably he would be in the team with Miller. What other forward at the club could contribute what Miller has done this season?- 27 replies

Kenny Miller - Another mercenary or underpaid and undervalued?
Bluedell replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I've got no idea what he is on, what he is looking for and what he is being offered and what the difference is between any of them so it's impossible to comment. I obviously don't have the same inside information as others on the thread.- 27 replies

Takeover latest: Ellis & Whyte in Scotland for MIH talks
Bluedell replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
It's not a good idea for a Bahamian company to imply that they have a UK trading address as they are doing. They could lose their tax benefits. Has it got anything to do with Whyte though? Edit - it also appear dormant.- 74 replies

Takeover latest: Ellis & Whyte in Scotland for MIH talks
Bluedell replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
It's standard in off-shore situations, although far more needs to be disclosed nowadays than it did 10 years ago. I'm sure far more has been disclsoed to Murray than has been made public.- 74 replies

Takeover latest: Ellis & Whyte in Scotland for MIH talks
Bluedell replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I highlighted that there was no Liberty Capital Ltd in the UK 3 weeks ago, even though it's the name used on Whyte's company's website. It's possible that they are based offshore but I couldn't find it in Guernsey, given that there had previously been a Guernsey connection with an attempted purchase of the club. I haven't checked any of the other standard off-shore locations though.- 74 replies

I'm surprised that Whyte is happy to appoint what is someone else's choice to the most important position within the club. Does this signify a lack of vision?

Not necessarily. Probably only £5m.

There's nothing wrong with one of Whyte's accountants saying "we hope the squad all stay fit" in the same way as there's nothing wrong with a player saying that they would like the takeover sorted quickly rather than it dragging on and causing uncertainty.

Are you suggesting that Boyd was trying to improve for less than 4 years? If so then he can GTF, as you you so politely put it. Boyd is being punted from Middlesbrough for his lack of effort. Why would he do better here? Was he also rushed back too early from a hernia op during his first 3 years with the club? :fish:

Never believed that.

Stays in the club in the same way that it's always done.

Can't disagree with you. I was more meaning in an ideal world (of sorts). I don't have a problem with him coming back per se, but would agree that he shouldn't be our number one target and if he was to come back, it should be below the level of contract that he previously rejected.

Sales may have been up but was it more profitable?
-
Given none of the financial whizz kids are around, I'll have a go at answering. I can't see any way that the deal would have been structured that Rangers would have to repay any of the initial £18m if JJB default. Whether we were able to walk away from the deal depends on the level of the breach of contract and the detailed clauses contained within it. However if JJB totally folded then we would be able to neotiate a new deal with someone else, which may not be on the same basis as the JJB deal but could be more of an agency set-up and not with the same level of exclusivity.

Big risk given our league position. I can't see him generating £2m with only 6 months of his contract left anyway.
