I now believe that the Lovenkrands deal is not happening. I'm not sure why not.

I was never a fan of either Tynecastle (uncovered, wasn't it?) or Tannadice. I much preferred the Beach End at Pittodrie.

There was no better atmosphere than the Rangers end at Hampden when it had terracing. It's a shame that the youngers ones will not be able to experience it. I'm a bit like Gisabeer. I'm knackered when I have to stand and these days I enjoy my home comforts. It's a pain having to stand at Parkhead. My mate, who has a problem with his leg, doesn't go there because he knows he will have to stand.

Good call. Fergie is more creative than Thomson and a davis fergie partnership could be excellent, but I can't see Smith going with it on a regular basis.

If we are playing a 4 man midfield then I'm not sure that we can afford Thomson. That is why it's a shame that we lost out on Brown. An on-form Brown beside Ferguson would be outstanding, and Brown (famliy problems not withstanding) would have been a ar better playter for us than for them.

I can't blame Bain for this one. There are better players available for the same money. This one lands straight at Walter and Ally's doors.

At this juncture, it would be wrong to rule out any course of action at this stage." ========== For what it's worth, I doubt that the RST board would vote for proposing that Gers players don't play for Scotland. My own opinion is that Rangers comes first, and there should be occasions when our players withdraw from internationals, but that already happens to an extent.

A simplified explanation is that the Board are elected by the members to represent them. It's obviously not practical to consult the membership in the thousands on every matter, but the members have the chance to express their dissatisfaction or otherwise of policies and/or Board members either at the AGM or by correspondence. The statement quoted above by Keevins is inaccurate (quelle surprise). My understanding from reading the reports in the Sunday papers is that the matter has not even been discussed at an RST board meeting so they seem some way away from "being ready to make a formal request."

Vinnicombe played a few times and ws reasonable but was never going to be good enough to be first choice. Just didn't have that little bit extra. Did he play in that league decider against Aberdeen in 1990/91? I know Tom Cowan did and he was another who vied for the left back spot at that time. I thought at first Vinnicombe did, but now reckon he didn't.

The only Canadian i remember was Colin Miller.

Burke had a spell of 5 or 6 games in a row when he was our only bit of creativity, but then seemed to totally lose it, particularly the Dundee Utd final when he seemed unable to even do the most basic things. An enigma who, as Frankie says, will not make it.
