  1. I found it strange that he was screaming at Borna after the goal, where it was Goldson and Tav that were far more culpable. Is it because Borna is an easier target?
  2. There's a difference between moaning and shouting abuse. Agree with the tempo issue. A guy I gave a lift to said that there were a couple of corners that took us 30 seconds to take. It all mounts up.
  3. Aribo played well in the first half, Morelos in the second. Overall, I'll give it to Morelos, who was unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions.
  4. While there's plenty of blame to go around, sections of the crowd don't help. The abuse that some of the players got was unacceptable and is creating an atmosphere that makes it more difficult for the players to perform.
  5. 9 paedophiles? A "treble treble"?
  6. It seems to be one-sided. Morelos's attitude needs to be improved but meanwhile the club will do nothing about the way that he is refereed or the continual racial and xenophobic abuse that he suffers in the press and on and off the pitch. Perhaps if the club had ensured parity of treatment then Morelos wouldn't be so reluctant (perhaps even subconsciously) to return to an environment where he is singled out and racially abused.
  7. In addition to Frankie's comments, we seemed to pull our "number 10s" in narrower, whereas the likes of Kent seem to operate better when playing wider. Also, our formation required a high intensity approach, which seems to have been lacking since the break, as you mention. There may be a number of reasons for this, including general drop off in form and the early start to the season and number of games now catching up on us.
  8. I'd just edited my post at the same time as you posted yours to add that word as well. they have no human decency.
  9. I saw that on the front page of the National on Saturday when I was in the supermarket. I was raging. How can they criticise Tomkins while ignoring the fact that the SNP are involved in a coverup, refusing to hold a public enquiry and refusing to engage with the victims and their families. Scum!
  10. That had crossed my mind too.
  11. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The lack of support for Alfie by the club, both in regards to the abuse he's taken on and off the park and also to the way that he's refereed to a different standard to every other player in Scotland is shameful. It's no wonder his form has suffered. If the club wants the best from him then they need to totally revisit the way that they treat him and don't take the dignified silence approach just because it best suits "brand Gerrard".
  12. He'd be my first name on the team sheet.
  13. My understanding is that he can't be played by us until the end of the season as he wasn't a free agent at the end of the transfer window
  14. Nobody will be watching, no matter what time that's on.
  15. There were games on BT and Sky so Premier are presumably trying to avoid them.
  16. Of course. At least now it's starting to get traction in the Times. I don't have a clue how it's been covered elsewhere in the written press.
  17. It allows them to respond on one and not the other. I understand your viewpoint but with a compliant press, the focus on the titles and why it's not correct will be what hogs the headlines.
  18. I'd find it more exciting playing against a team that aren't playing so well.
  19. I had to look back and our record against German sides was better than I thought it was. I've just been conditioned by some of our games in the 90s where we came across some physical German sides and being bullied. I remember we played against Dortmund and thinking how great it would be to get some of their players. I was excited when it was announced that we were signing one and we ended up with Nerlinger! That would be a major result for me!
  20. I think a Spanish side would have been more attractive, and our tactics would have worked better against them but I guess it's all subjective.
  21. I believe that bringing up talk of titles will take some of the pressure off them as it allows them to argue in other areas, such as sporting advantage, rather than concentrate on the abuse itself.
  22. It's one of the hardest draws we could have got, and one of the least exciting. However it's a great achievement getting to where we are now, and have arguably had some good luck in previous draws so I guess we can't complain too much.
  23. Don't want a German side or Shaktar. Don't think they're beatable and not too much glamour.
  24. I'd prefer if we didn't start shouting about stripping titles. It's not about us. It's about the victims, and getting justice for them. Let's not cause any deflection from that and then allowing people to focus on the validity of any such stripping claims as all it will do it is take people's attention away from the hideous acts, the ongoing cover-up and compensation for the victims and their families.
