Footie yobs are scaring the decent fans away
26th of foot replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Ah, so says the man who reveled in his ten year Sellik park nickname, 'PROVO'! -
Ah, the story goes; after the war, James Bowie was on his Jack Jones in Brixton. He endured the darkness of an evening in an Anderson shelter with a local waitress, called Peggy. If you play Ziggy Stardust backwards, you can here Bowie proclaim, 'I am a Brixton Billy Boy'.

It's a well known fact in deepest, darkest Lanarkshire that David Bowie was the lovechild of former Rangers player and Director, James Bowie.

Scott Cunningham MBE - Trav Tribute Trek

Travis was the real deal Scott is a real Bear. The Royal Marine connection is strange, most of them are excused boots. Take several hot soapy showers each day, share a hot hammock, buckle your swash, and you get to wear a green rag on your napper. Add luster to the venture by including a few Paras in the team. All the best mate, I hope at least one of the bootnecks remains with you at Fort William. -
He was number one around the globe with, 'Ranger on the Shore'. Kenny Ball and his Jazz men RSC.

Rangers could face punishment over sectarian chanting
26th of foot replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Oh fcuk, any Yahoo sub-Editor will be delighted. Rangers supporter proclaims preference for beer brewed by WILLIAM Bros. Still, I suppose, 'we're up to our ears in William Bros beers' has a certain ring. -
Remember, 'Thugs and Thieves'? A most successful Sellik under MON took action against the Daily Record's front page headline, 'Thugs and Thieves'. The players' Christmas night out was held in Newcastle, the Record sent both a reporter and snapper to cover expected events of super hero costumes and high jinx. They caught several married Bhoys in a well known singles bar, and began taking photos. Spotted, they were chased for several hundred yards, caught, threatened, and the camera was destroyed. Hence, 'Thugs and Thieves'. Over the ensuing week, the Record was banned, the Editor was told his future was behind him, and the culminating blow came from big, big Sellik supporter, John McGuire. He owned Phoenix Honda and he pitched up on the front page of the Sun to proclaim his company would withdraw all advertising from the Record. This consisted of over a dozen full colour pages, three times per week. Further, he was transferring all advertising revenues to a more Sellik friendly environment at Radio Snyde. I agree with Bluedell, this particular incident is hardly the straw to act on, and I am most wary of banning any of the fourth estate, even Scrote. Rather, draw them out on to your ground and publicaly cut the legs from them, particularly persistent offenders. Yesterday, Chris McLaughlin got himself into a most uncomfortable tangle in attempting to avoid uttering Sellik and sectarian chanting in the same sentence. It should be pointed out that dearest Chris did NOT seek/provide a quote from Nil by Mouth in the Stranraer story, and did NOT personally demand action. In fact, Chris was of the opinion that he could NOT see how an independent judicial panel could arrive at a conclusion on Sellik supporters and sectarian chanting. Chris was most sure that the SPFL Board could deal effectively with Rangers supporters.

Former Rangers adviser charged over film scheme tax fraud

I was given Craig Houston's tome as a Christmas present and read it in one session on Thursday. Even an interested Bear would find it difficult to list the names of those that 'served' on the club Board these last five years. Further, the list of connected companies is just as, if not more confusing. What is becoming clear, almost without exception; is that slowly but surely, they will end up in front of m'learned gentlemen. This is not a book review, but for me, the book serves as a timely aide-memoire. I can tick off both characters and companies. -

............... and yet, our separated brethren continue to lionise, 'Big Mick'. I can see 'Big Mick' following in the wake of Robert Maxwell and becoming a hazard to navigation. Sooner, rather than later would be preferable. -
Rangers v Hibernian: SPFL to discuss sectarian chants
26th of foot replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Yep, 'where's Chris' rivals 'where's Wally' these days. Fortunately, Chris answers all questions on his own website : chris@apyoorhaterangers.co Here's a snippet from an in depth interview awarded to BBC Scotland's doyen of hard hitting interviewer, Chic Young. Chico ; Hi Chris. Chris : Hail hail. Chico : The station is constantly inundated by Rangers supporters complaining about your lack of objectivity? Chris : Here's a line from my favourite tune, 'ah don't care what the animals say'. Chico : Your sister Connie sounds bitter, is she bitter? Chris : I am always really careful what I say about Connie, she is my sister, but also my Maw. Chico : what punishment should Rangers face on these charges of sectarian chanting? Chris : Watching my former colleague, Jim Spence seated naked on Stephen Thompson's lap whilst feeding him peeled grapes, is a warm memory. In this light, Rangers should be denied promotion and Dundee United keep their place in the Premiership. Chico : There isn't a subjective bone in your body? Chris : you can't say fairer than that. -

Rangers could face punishment over sectarian chanting
26th of foot replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Night follows day. Rangers win a BIG game and suddenly the story is all about sectarian chanting, or opposition fans being pelted with sectarian coins, bottles, and pies. The club remains in a position of weakness on this; if only a significant element of our support would wise up and sing, 'up to our eyes in Spiersy's lies', 'up to our knees in trophies', ........... etc. If, and it's a Big 'IF', we could turn this on the four or five other clubs up to their knees in Ayr United blood, Arab blood, Hibee blood, ................. etc. Get smart. -
Apparently, Phil Differ has written Warburton as, 'Chas and Dave'. Thus, lots of lame Cockney rhyming slang. Think Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. The usual suspects at Pacific Quay will proclaim it as genius.

Milne keen to see Rangers and Hibs in top division
26th of foot replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Milne and other SPL Chairman took the path of least resistance, they empowered their supporters to vote on Rangers future. The "right approach" is to take every opportunity without exception, to inform Milne and chums; to take their new enlightenment, and work it up their collective bahookies. -
SFA chief executive Stewart Regan learns to live with highs and lows

Exactly, SFA(Riley and Lawwell) commissioned Nolan Partners to headhunt Regan ie a shoo-in. -

Stu's brother is a Senior Lecturer at Durham University, his subject is Irish Republican History. Reference Nolan Partners, Lord Reid's son, Kevin was previously outed in a newspaper sting, as selling questions for cash. He was caught on tape guaranteeing access to then First Minister, Jack McConnell(also a Sellik season ticket holder), if the journo posing as a company rep' placed their account with Kevin's then employer, Beattie Media. Yep, no baggage to be seen here. -

Amazing, Stu' provides a potted history of his work life and associations; but omits the three years working for Coors, alongside Peter Lawwell. -
Forth Road Bridge could be closed until AFTER Christmas

According to general Scottish football site, there is an inspection beginning 09.30hrs. -
There is a recurring theme between BBC Scotland(Pacific Quay CSC) and anything Rangers related ; wishful thinking is presented as factual information. Last evening, Tom English had Warburton leaving because of family, increased remuneration, and the greater challenge of the English Championship leading to the subsequent increased challenge of the Premiership. Further, the Rangers supporters wouldn't be happy with the sop of Rangers legend, Davie Weir being presented as the new manager. Seriously, extrapolation follow follows extrapolation. Still, Tom's main supporter in such fantasy was, Joe Miller!!!!!

Spiers used to regularly flash his pompous pomposity credentials by reminding his readership that he was an honours graduate in Theology and Divinity. I can exclusively reveal that dearest Graham is a recipient of a double First in Bawbaggery and Bampottery.
