Sorry but you're wrong. I don't HAVE to do anything of the sort. As far as I'm aware, there are no rules against offering opinion, in fact it seems remarkably common practice - you've just done it yourself, or was the balloons thing part of your debating strategy? Pokerface offered a few opinions himself this evening, maybe you didn't notice. I've no real interest whether you read my posts or not. If it doesn't suit you then don't. For all the debaters here there sure are a lot of people intent on telling others what to post.

Such poetic language but, to be fair, I think the gas has been coming out of a few other backsides recently. Eh?

Now I know you're taking the piss. As an accountant you know only too well who really controls the deal. Any time I've tried to dictate anything you guys have a hundred reasons why I'd be committing suicide to do anything that might jeopardize your fees. It's definitely a case of leave the rolling pin at the door and do what your told, while accepting full liability of course.
-
OK, distaste management then. Try to remember this isn't real and I'm only an anonymous poster on a football forum - definitely not worth getting so worked up about.

I've never been an acquirer so haven't had to try to ensure exclusivity. As a seller I've always had it forced upon me which probably gives me a very one-dimensional view of the world.
-
Have you tried anger management?
-
Would I be presumptuous to take it as a compliment?
-
Well that's a wholesome attack and it appears we've crossed swords before, only since I haven't changed my username and you have, you have me at a distinct disadvantage. It's rather unusual to see someone behave quite so badly, I can only assume you're carrying a bit of a log on your shoulder and some hurt in your heart. I'm happy to be generous and believe you'll get over it soon.

I don't mean to labour he point but who are you saying is going to do the kicking? I get your point but there's a world of difference between kicking and influencing.
-
Out of interest Pete, what's the current opinion of Advocaat in Holland?
-
That's a rather more 'motivated' speech than was really necessary but it seems you've arrived with quite an accumulation of issues to deal with. It's always good to get these things off you chest and why shouldn't you do it all at once. Hope your feeling better now.

rbr, Was the article posted on FF? Is that what you're referring to?
-
You might despair Craig but did you really think our problems would really be solved by a few posts on a fans' forum. It's going to take a lot more than that, starting with a bit of realism. But I understand exactly your feelings.

There's the rub though Zappa. There is no one to kick down any barriers. What's being proposed by Tabbit requires voluntary good sense by everyone taking part and, so far at least, there's no sign I can see that the old animosities have gone anywhere. For that reason alone I can't see much reason for optimism although, as I've already posted, I'd like to see nothing more than a noted and influential support. You say "just get it done" but who is it you're aiming those words at? I think it's no coincidence that one of the main reasons for division between supporters groups is also the reason why the RST has failed to deliver any of it's key objectives. Rabbit is absolutely right and I've been posting for a while that the support needs to take a look at itself and change it's ways. But there's a world of difference between wanting and getting unless certain barriers decide to step aside.

Your a charm. You raise unsubstantiated allegations of personal threats, don't back them up but offer this as a reason for Suck's behavior. That's shit stirring in my book. Surprised the irony of doing it on this thread isn't choking you.
-
You're quite right, it's not always granted. However, very few (I've never seen one) deals would get to an indocative offer let alone DD without it. I can't believe Whyte would have come to the table without an exclusivity agreement signedand sealed.
-
In that case, Perhaps it's best then to leave it to those involved to speak for themselves. Otherwise it's little more than shit stirring.
-
I don't think there will be any barriers put up by the folks from VB, who have on more than one occasion offered to include FF in initiatives, only to be shut out.
-
Without doubt. There may be reason why exclusivity could be terminated but these would be rarely triggered.

To be fair Frankie I don't think anyone could accuse you of not caring, nor has anyone done so. I respect your positive support for Rabbit's admirable proposal and I'm sure everyone understand's why you might be taking a positive view of bridges being built where previously they were only burned. However, if the people are the same, which they are, and they still act the way they did, which they do, then where is the basis for believing the outcomes will be any different. It's not the mission that needs to change for progress to be made but, like Rangers, it's the individuals involved. You suggest G_S is only one man but he was only one man three years ago too. I see no change in his outlook or his influence, no change in his attitude towards other fans' groups. He's the root of too much division to believe FF will ever stand side by side with other sites. Where then does your unity come from? We all wish for it but you know what they say about wishes.
-
If nothing has changed since STS fell by the wayside before then, much as I'd like it to be otherwise, why would we expect it to reach a different conclusion today? Seems to me any hope would have to be based on rampant optimism about the good sense of the average Rangers supporter. Nuff said.
-
I posted yesterday in support of Rabbit's objectives but let's not kid ourselves that having a great idea that would actually benefit the Rangers support as a whole is the same as achieving those objectives. There are such profound divisions amongst the website activists, and such deep apathy and ignorance amongst the wider support, that unity of action by the fans may not actually be achievable to the extent it causes any beneficial change. The causes of this today are the same as they were three or four years ago and the divisions run very deep indeed. If we're going to advocate unity then we need to be talking about how this might be achieved. I'd suggest that when you can get the owners/organisers of GN, RM, VB, FF and the others face-to-face around the same table and achieve agreement to cooperate then you might get somewhere. Otherwise it will just be another fine aspiration that will wax and wane without effect like all those before it.
-
And that's probably putting a generous spin on it.
-
Read your post on RM earlier and agree something new needs to be tried because it sure as hell isn't working the way it is. There's already the obvious link between RM and GN - and you'll maybe agree the lads over on VB will accept a fresh approach if brokered by the RM guys and Frankie. As ever, the stumbling block, if there is one, will probably come from FF. Good of you to provide the link and best of luck in your efforts. Be happy to help promote a more cooperative approach ... although I might have to take some lessons on cooperation first.
