  1. Are you working on the basis that the truth will realised by sheer volume of words?
  2. Each of the seven resignations were reported by the RST to be due to pressures of work, demands of personal life, sick hamster, change of sexual orientation, etc ,etc. Every one an entirely innocent departure and absolutely no funny business involved. Now those seven individuals issue a joint (joint mind you) statement revealing what we all knew anyway - internal strife, cliques, dissent, petulance before policy, and so on. The whole knitting circle committee drama in ful technicolour. And those who lied to us (I'm a life member) are now preaching that the RST is still alive and kicking, with renewed purpose and vigour. The current chairman, Stephen Smith, has even written to me assuring open and honest communication in future .... the very day after issuing the meaningless non-statement about the meeting with Murray, which he attended. These people take us for mugs and will no doubt continue to do so. Follow Follow runs the RST and Dingwall runs Follow Follow. Can anyone spot the obvious flaw in that arrangement? Not the propaganda meisters on FF anyway, who are now in full voice commending the same proven liars for saving the RST and the whole Rangers world from all comers. This is a farce that would be highly entertaining if it didn't continue to discredit the Rangers community and prevent any meaningful collective voice being heard on behalf of the support. These folks need to be hounded at every turn until they are so far removed they can do no further harm.
  3. Who told you it wasn't possible to borrow money? My company has no such problems and outside the world of tabloid financial reporting I don't particularly think there is a problem. What there always has been is a problem raising finance for projects with poor return on investment, which is why I have no doubt that any redevelopment of Ibrox would have to involve a transfer of ownership. I love the way Murray manages to sell these dreams of grandeur to an audience whose club he has taken to the brink of failure. Robert Maxwell didn't sell the illusion half as well as our David. Tell me, is it May yet?
  4. I suspect that was a bit like Murray's museum; it sounded good at the time but there was never any serious intent to deliver. A supporters trust that clearly puts the wishes of the club before those of its members is an exercise in futility. An RST board that consistently denies information to the membership and so blatantly covers up internal matters is directly responsible for the poverty of achievement thus far. Perhaps the yardstick that best judges the RST board leadership to date is the unbelievably low rate of membership growth. It's time for new leadership and new direction. What a pity then that even now the trust continues to act like a subsidiary of the Follow Follow empire.
  5. I've mulled over your words for a few days. Would it help you to be less dismissive if I said I have it in writing from the current Chairman of the RST that the meeting was held at the behest of Murray and was conducted on terms dictated by Murray, including the requirement that the discussions should not be made public. Murray was even unhappy that people knew there was any meeting. Of course, Stephen Smith is much too circumspect to admit an early end of the new age of militancy but we all know that it was only ever a bone to throw to a disgruntled membership at a particularly low point for a trust is disarray. As for eliminating criticism of Murray on FF, I believe the evidence speaks for itself. So pass if you like but at least do so from an informed standpoint.
  6. I don't believe I stated that Murray wasn't chairman when some of the current stadium was redeveloped. Some even say he built the entire affair with his own hands. Others believe the location of the museum will one day be discovered. What I did do was hint at his well-travelled strategy of diverting attention (criticism) by obliquely introducing significant news at critical times - news that usually fails to materialise. I envy your faith in the man but I doubt you will ever see the stadium redeveloped under Murrays tenure. Still, as long as it is being discussed he will have achieved his aim.
  7. I see two options. First, going by Murray's track record in these matters, there will be no stadium redevelopment. Second, there will be redevelopment but at the end of it the stadium will not be owned by Rangers plc. The latter is totally unacceptable but the former will most likely ensure it never happens. We've been here so many times before.
  8. I know but I will not be saying how I know. Feel free to believe or not.
  9. Let's be clear about this. It wasn't a meeting between the club and the Trust. No matter how it was dressed for public consumption, it was a meeting between Murray/Bain and four members of FF who are also RST board members (if you say there still is such a thing as an RST board). Murray laid down the law about what he will no longer tolerate on FF as much as the conduct of the RST. The meeting was called by Murray, not by the four 'new militants'. The four 'now-not-so-militants' had nothing to say afterwards because it would have been too embarrassing to announce what Murray has told them they will do. However, expect a new purge of bannings whenever there is criticism of Murray on FF. You can be sure the brief age of militancy is now well and truly over. Dingwall has been Dingwalled. It seems posing just isn't the same as the real thing.
  10. It OK folks I won't be troubling this forum again. I just wanted to find out what kind of place this was and it's not for me. I'd get vertigo on that moral high ground of yours. BTW, FF, you have to be joking.
  11. Aw, don't be so precious, it really wasn't worth going to all that trouble. Anyway, Miller hardly counts as human any more and the fracture doesn't have to be multiple if that's what offends. Maybe a merely excruciating cruciate injury would be enough to keep him as far away from Ibrox as possible. Hopefully that's sufficiently open minded.
  12. What are you talking about. he has already kicked a ball for us and he was dire. He kick balls for Wolve, Celtic and Derby and he was dreadful. What exactly is it you think he might do this time that he hasn't been capable of doing before? I'm feel sorry for you that his badge thumping for celtic means nothing to you.
  13. It's difficult to speak for everyone but if i were to guess then yes, I think Miller will get a harder time than Johnston. Partly it will because he was a Rangers player who jumped the dyke and now wants back again. Imaging Mo johnston going from Rangers back to celtic and you'll get the point. Johnston got pelters from some because he was a benchmark catholic signing - but many fans were ready for this and didn't care about his religion - plus, many saw it as a real kick in the teeth for celtic (which it was). Partly it's because many genuinely believe he is next door to useless. It's hard to look at his performances these last few years and reach any other conclusion.
  14. You're right insomuch as he will be at Ibrox as long as the management want him to be. Plenty of fans made their feeling clear before he was signed but Walter chose to ignore them, as is his undoubted right. However, just because he was signed and will run out in a blue shirt doesn't mean the many fans who feel as I do will have to accept him. He is still an ex-Tim and he is still nowhere near good enough to justify the money spent. Walter and his laughing sidekick might yet have cause to regret this one.
  15. I'm prepared, and entitled, to judge Miller. I will never accept him after his rabid badge thumping with that green and grey rag on his back, and I see this as reasonable justification. If you ever needed a definition of a football mercenary then it is Kenny Miller. He knows full well that he will not be welcomed by the fans but the money in his pocket will allow him to ignore that. I also think his performances do nothing to assuage these feeling, in the way that could at least be said of Mojo. Take these two things together and you have the reason why many fans just won't put up with this. Where do you draw the line in your own particular patch of sand? When does the club go that little bit too far? When is blind loyalty just not enough?
  16. Gomis from Dundee Utd would suit me fine. I was really impressed with his performances against us last season. Great work rate too. Unfortunately one rumour that is likely to come true is that Walter won't be bringing through any MP youngsters into the first team.
  17. I'm devastated to read Rangers fans saying that we need to get behind Kenny Miller now that he's signed for Rangers. I could never get behind this rhat. In fact I'd like to wish him a multiple fracture in pre-season training and a premature end to a futile and miserable career.
  18. It says two things in particular... 1. That the club continues to lack ambition. 2. That the club has no interest in the opinions of its fans, which have been clearly expressed.
  19. You are fortunate. I assure you I have not had the same experience - I'm very disappointed at their apparent unwillingness to respond. In one case I ended up sending three pm's to a RST board member via the FF website and eventually got a reply, which told me to submit my query to the RST website! Beyond parody.
  20. Let me assure you that the RST website is less of an option than you may think. I have asked several questions on that website and have yet to receive even an acknowledgement, let alone an answer. Which, since I put my hand in my pocket for a life membership, is disappointing to say the least.
