  1. Well well, will the happy-clappy performing seals who regularly inhabit Rangers forums finally see the reality of our situation? Still think Walter Smith is the future? Still think he should stay in his job as manager? Put it this way, any manager who willingly puts Charlie Adam on a football park shouldn't still be in employment at Ibrox. 1967 was a mess. The Greig years weren't brilliant. The pre-Souness years were dire. McLeish hadn't a clue. The PLG debacle was just that. But the current shambles on and off the park is as bad as anything I've seen in fifty years following this club.
  2. Carlos Cuellar is an eminently sellable player who would command a substantial fee. He is also the only player we have who would attract serious interest from those clubs who can pay big money. To think for a moment that Murray will not seek to capitalise on these facts would be to place one's head in the sand. Sadly, the best player we have seen at Ibrox in many a year will grace our team only briefly. That is inevitable.
  3. He can try any routine he likes as long as he is actually able to take a decent corner kick. The fact that he can't only confirms his status as one of the least talented people ever to wear the Rangers shirt. But what makes him beyond any measure of acceptance is his beief that he is one of the most gifted players in the country. He genuinely believes this, adding stupidity to his considerable list of failings. Adam is not a good player who has simply lost form. With the exception of a handful of games, he has been an embarrassment since he broke into the first team. If WS thinks Adam is fit to play in his team then it says everything anyone needs to know about the limitations of our current manager.
  4. Miller is tainted and useless. Maloney on the other hand is a talented footballer - but still tainted and I would never accept him at Ibrox for that reason. Many find these views uncomfortable, having developed an inordinate sense of political correctness in recent years. I strive to remain entirely unreconstructed and see our greatest rivals as something other than best pals. Some fans of New Rangers, on the other hand, will no doubt soon be donning the green and grey in an effort to show how fair-minded they have become.
  5. The only thing I will add is that no one forces you to read anything on here. By happy arrangement, each of my posts bears my username at the top of it. Since you find it so irritating to read my opinions, I recommend you just refuse to read anything I post. That way, you won't have to overstep the mark with unsavoury language again.
  6. Great, another forward. Smith, you rest on an increasingly suspect reputation.
  7. As are you by yours. Perhaps you need to calm down a little. I'm doing what people do on football forums - venting opinions - it's not personal and it's not aimed at you. I manage to read your opinions and those of other posters without getting hot under the collar. To refer to me as "tainted" isn't really very nice at all but I'll limit my response to asking you simply to maintain a little more composure in future.
  8. It's taken a while but I've heard it all now........you think Follow Follow is a dirge, do you? I reckon you're classic New Rangers - no respect for the 115 years of heritage before Murray came to dismantle it, no understanding of what this club used to be or what it stood for, no appreciation of our traditions beyond the fiction spoonfed by the media. You are the perfect product of Murray's sanitisation of Rangers. He would be so proud of you.
  9. sThat's a serious case of brainwashing you've got there.
  10. The club would never have been 'persecuted' if our owner hadn't swallowed the offended message hook, line and sinker. There are other clubs in Scotland whose fans sing much worse than you'll hear at Ibrox - but strangely no one seems to find offence or seek to persecute anyone. And if you're not offended, why should anyone else be? The whole offended nonsense is a sham. We all know it, so why do we tolerate it by acquiescing at every turn?
  11. Personally, I'd sack Smith now. I've felt like that since the day he was appointed.
  12. Personally. I don't think we should sing this at all. However, it's getting very tiresome hearing the precious bleating from those who are far too easily offended by those who do. This seems to be the age of the willingly offended and to see this needless posturing spread through the Rangers support is less than edifying. No one forces any supporter to sing any particular words or song. If you don't like it, don't sing it. If others choose to sing it, surely that's their business.
  13. I would think it's almost a certainty that Cuellar will be leaving in January whatever happens. Shagger is a possibility to but less so.
  14. That's a bloody good post Cammy F. Perhaps the words that stood out most for me were "WS must explain" The fact is of course that WS will explain nothing. The club long ago dislocated itself from the support, not the other way around as so many would have you believe today. There was a time in my lifetime when the opinion of the support would have been taken into account when making major decisions and when the club would have seen it necessary or at least courteous to keep the support informed. The attitude fostered by Murray has increasingly been one of "what have they got to complain about?" And it's not difficult to see where that leads, just take a look around you today. Murray has been very keen to flatter and cultivate a particular element of our support but has been equally adept at isolating and disenfranchising what has perhaps been the backbone of the Ibrox support over the years. The fetid decay at this club is everywhere to be seen but its origins lie in the disregard of an owner and those who depend upon him.
  15. I'm sorry but that is NOT negativity. It is simply facing facts. It would be negativity if you were simply making it up for effect, which you're not. The recent obsession with negativity, and the tendency to vilify people for being negative, usually comes from supporters who persistently refuse to face these facts. There is no shortage of ostriches amongst us.
  16. Does that mean if you sing eff tee pee and have a reasoned arguement to hand then you're not a bigot? Is bigotry the problem, or the fact that we feel obliged to alter our behaviour because others choose to label us as bigots? Just a thought.
  17. Each to his own but I've never been particularly worried about the sensibilities of either the Pope or the Irish Republican Army. They've never seemed in much need of defending from what I've seen of either of them. I imagine they both must find it highly amusing that their most avid protectors are now to be found in the stands of Ibrox. Ssssssssshhhhhhh.
  18. Stadium development? That'll be the day. I've seen too many of Murray's little media games to believe there is even the slightest chance of seeeing any stadium development under this chairman. You'll still be waiting for the grand announcement this time next year. Now I really must log off, I'm off the visit museum.
  19. The inability to organise an effient ticketing service, surely fundamental to any club's operations, casts enormous doubt on the basic business abilities of those running our club. That and their enthusiasm for the task. But perhaps all is revealed in the way they have dealt with those who the let down so badly.
  20. To perpetrate a shambles like this and feel utterly unable to accept responsibility for it is entirely typical of the regime at Ibrox today. They should have a ticketing capability that meets the needs of fans, not the other way round. A dreadful state of affairs.
  21. Brougherra has been signed to ensure Kirk Broadfoot is free to occupy his natural position at right back ........... it certainly isn't to solve the critical need for midfield reconstruction. Oh Walter, exactly what plan are you working to? Is there a plan or are you still making it up as you go?
  22. Backwards? It's backwards alright. Two last-day league wins in eight years. And even the stadium we used to regard as the best in Britain now looks tawdry and neglected. Seems even paint is now beyond our means. Murray has very much become the anchor around the Ibrox neck.
  23. And booing Miller isn't voicing an opinion? I think you'll find that it is.
