  1. I don't want a foreign manager .... or a Scottish one ....... I just want a better manager.
  2. Thanks - I'll have a look at that.
  3. OK I tried it on a pc and it works fine. I normally do everything on an iPad and it sure as feck doesn't work there - in fact quite a few features don't seem quite the same on the iPad.
  4. Don't kid yourselves, he'll consider it OK. I'm not saying he'll definitely take it but this is THE job in UK football media. Very big bucks too.
  5. I see it but it's not an active option
  6. The attachment management facility only gives me the option to link to web images but not to upload images from my computer. Any clues?
  7. Since Glasgow doesn't do rumours the word that Sky Sport are chasing him to replace Andy Gray must be true. It's hardly new news.
  8. Anyway, at the moment it seems McCoist is more likely to join Sky Sports than become Rangers manager. Thank God.
  9. But rose wine is strictly for pooves isn't it?
  10. Tthere's no "suspected" about it. He all but refused to play for the club but was quite prepared to accepted the wages they wer paying him. Clearly there was a dispute about who should pick up the tab for buying out his previous contract but that was a fight he should have directed at his agent. There's no aspect of this guy's conduct that you can't justifiably despise.
  11. Can you believe that cheating bastard played 90 minutes for Hearts today?
  12. I reckon Walter Smith is good at what he's good at. On the other hand, like most everyone else in this world, he's quite poor at those aspects of the job where he's got little or no skill and ability. We all know where his strengths and weaknesses lie but our real difficulty is whether to praise his strengths or condemn his weaknesses. Do you thank him for his contribution and achievements or do you pillory him for his failings? Too many fans can only see one end of the Smith spectrum or the other. Either he's a hero or he's a villain, when in actual fact he's obviously neither. It's always going to be entirely subjective but I see Walter Smith as a manager of strictly average ability who has definitely made his mark on the history of Rangers but who has fallen well short of what could have been. When he goes I'll thank him genuinely and wish him well ... bit I'll also be relieved at the opportunity his going will provide to address the shortcomings of his time in office. Rangers have not been blessed with good managers since Souness left. We've made do with men of very moderate ability and tried to convince ourselves it was otherwise .... but it wasn't and we mustn't pass up this next opportunity by passing the baton to Mr McCoist.
  13. I know, I know. Double helping of humble pie for Maineflyer.
  14. Aw ffs, this is a disaster, he's going to be insufferable now.:D:D
  15. Naismith after 6 mins. That's your prediction well and truly fucked then.
  16. Let's be perfectly honest about this. You can only spend what you have to spend. Dick Advocaat had no authority to spend a penny at Rangers, except that which was authorized by Murray. The idea that Advocaat had the authority to make a single spending decision is absurd.
  17. It's certainly been more true than false in my time. To change it will require much better management than we've had since Scot Symon. It's not difficult to see the merits of someone like Walter Smith but developing young players isn't one of them.
  18. I don't for a minute think the spending spree was driven by anyone but Murray.
  19. You need to be careful here. Showing real emotion and speaking your mind makes life uncomfortable for so many. But for the rest of us ... well said, really enjoyed reading that.
  20. The problem is these are not children but a highly motivated and entirely deliberate pressure group who have flourished in the vacuum created by Murray's sanitizing of the Rangers support.
  21. Sorry mate, I don't really need your advice on what to post. Why don't you just post what you want to post and everyone else can do the same.
  22. Ha ha nice comeback. I'm with you my friend, you don't change views formed per many years just to match the expected pious reaction when someone has a health problem. I absolutely adored DJ as a player and he certainly made a massive contribution to Rangers, more than many who got far better recognition. But he has only himself to blame for alienating much of our support, with his well-document 'uncle tom' behaviour on Radio Clyde. As an ex-captain of Rangers he'll always have my thanks and admiration. As a man I'd never wish him ill but I couldn't get too emotional about someone who has passed up so many chances to take on the worst of our detractors. Too much over-egged priggery from some.
  23. You've finally liberated the last of your sanity.:)
  24. Tight and tedious with Healy coming on to score the winner. 2-1 Rangers
