  1. Fuck sake, didn't expect to hit the net with the first shot.
  2. I'd love to be sad and bitter. It would give life such meaning. However, the truth is I'm having a bit of a laugh at your expense. Cheap, yes but a bit of light relief at the end of a hard, hard week can't be such a bad thing really. Keep it up ffs, I'm loving it. Did MD really send you hear to pacify me. I'm just thrilled at the recognition, no really.
  3. And that, in the vernacular, is such a shallow crock to be barely a crock at all. In fact, it's pompous nonsense. What's your FF username?
  4. Fuck sake, where are all these new posters coming from. Has Frankie been on a well-concealed recruitment drive over on FF? Seems the FFRST A-team has been mobilised to stun dissent with an onslaught of exceedingly drab propaganda. I'd advise against wasting their time ... it's shite when posted on FF and it gains nothing on the short journey over to Gersnet. Besides, where have these people been until now? Why have we been deprived of their wisdom until now? Has Frankie been deliberately keeping us in the dark? Has there been a break-in?
  5. No worries there. The bastard has his teeth set too deeply to ever have to think about letting him go .... actually, it's a her.... rumour has it.
  6. The huge flaw in your argument is the assumption that playing the debating game by what you regard as appropriate rules and with appropriate style will somehow cause the RST to enter the debate and engage with all this appropriateness. In actual fact, they don't give a flyblown shit how the counter-arguments are presented, or even what those arguments are based upon. The RST serves only the RST and will only respond when and how it suits the RST to respond. The fundamental point desperately needing to be grasped here is that the RST will never be changed or brought to book by debate ... because there is no debate, only words. There are no rules to apply and no corners to box them into. Your wordsmithery is for your benefit alone and, perhaps, some interested observers who like the sound of your pen. You might as well spit at the screen as type such well-crafted words, for all the impact they will have on the RST situation. All I see is a growing mountain of words, with an endless queue of posters lining up for their brief shot at wisdom.
  7. Two statements. The first is a complete mystery. How could "huge battles" have gone unnoticed by so many people over such a long time? The answer of course is that there have been no huge battles (except those between members of its own board) and there have been no victories (except those contrived for effect). The second is simply too obvious to need spelling out.
  8. I thought it was the absence of blood .... which is why the breed is so prone to sucking it out of the living. I've certainly got one on the hook at the moment who seems to be three parts leech.
  9. Yes Craig, stop being so damned grey.
  10. If I told you every CA I've worked with was fully seized of their code of ethics, I'd have to abandon truth in the process.
  11. So was Harold Shipman.

    A New RST

The real world is no secret. Everyone can open their eyes and see it ... now, today. In fact it has been open for inspection for several years and has never hidden its true nature. The RST is exactly what the RST is and has been for most of it's existence ... impotent, ineffective and morally bankrupt. It is also in a state of continual and deep-rooted denial. This isn't a matter of opinion, something I've decided to invent. It's the reality you say you're looking for, without fear of contradiction. I need wait for nothing to be proven, it's there in front of you, reach out and touch the failure or it. Hundreds of bears are debating the why's and wherefor's arising at the recent Trust AGM, obsessing about who has the best handle on the merest trivia. Meanwhile, the real crime of failure goes without comment and the RST sends it's footsoldiers out to quell the websites with meaningless waffle ... but the RST still hasn't come within a thousand miles of achieving one of its aims and not one eyebrow gets raised at the utter ineptitude of it all. If you want something tangible to chase, you'll find it in the gap between what you call the vision and the non-achievements of the RST. There is no death, lingering or otherwise, only the coma that a small band of brothers and sisters are determined to maintain at any price.
  13. No worries rbr, didn't mean I thought you were inviting anyone to vouch for him.... it's just that, since that's how it would have to be, I wouldn't vouch for anyone I didn't actually know personally.

    A New RST

But ... the Trust will NOT lead the way, that much is abundantly clear by established practice and whatever measure you look at. You're effectively asking turkeys to vote for Christmas. I still think this is little more than aspirational juggling ... it can be entertaining, clever and impressive but it will make no difference whatsoever in the real world. MD has no incentive to change the status quo, quite the opposite. Those around him are similarly bound to his lead. Without either changing the leopard's spots or dislocating the Trust from the leopard, you will see no change. No amount of 'should be' will ever achieve what you seek .... therefore ....

    A New RST

    :thup::thup:
  16. Maybe this just got missed ... Is there anyone who can conclusively say these alleged threats ever took place?
  17. I wouldn't vouch for him because I don't know him and in any case doubt if he would last more than twenty posts. Better he continues to decry something he knows nothing about.

    A New RST

This might be OK if we all lived in a sterile world inhabited only by robots. Unfortunately, despite the revulsion it appears to generate in some people, this is largely personal. In the final analysis it is not about organizations but about what those organizations reflect about a small number of key individuals. The failure of the RST is the failure of a small clique to separate their personal interests from their RST responsibilities. So good luck with your strategic planning, let me know when you find anyone willing to look past their self-interest long enough to pay the slightest notice to it. Cynical, certainly. Accurate, definitely.
  19. Care to explain your own belly rumble sunshine? anything but the performance of the RST eh?
  20. Is there one shred of evidence (evidence) that these threats ever actually took place and, if so, was this given to the police and did they act upon the evidence?
  21. Move along, nothing to see hear. They say white, we say black, the facts are fudged beyond understanding or relevance. And the Trust is free to go on being utterly ineffective and the exclusive preserve of the same old clique. What a bunch of bastards (with apologies in advance to Pete for this upsetting language and what might even be aggression)
  22. :rolleyes:The predictability is tedious. Every time one of the RST's fukk ups leaks out there is the same FF diaspora, with delegates sent out by the Inner Circle to quell the uprising and limit any damage. Debate is quickly sterilized into a tedium of factual trivia, obscuring any aspect of the issue that might reveal fault or blame on the part of the RSTFF corporate image. Suddenly there are a host of new members on the various sites (well, except VB where they can't just walk in and suppress criticism), members who have seldom or never engaged in previous forum debate and who restrict themselves to the very focussed task of defusing the situation. People like Pete love this approach and tend to respond exactly as required. We've seen this time and again ... Where did UCB go, yes, remember him? UCB lingered for a while but once the heat died down over the RST's ridiculous takeover spin, UCB vanished into the undergrowth. Now we have the latest transient RSTFF evangelist - dylanger has arrived for the backshift, armed with quasi-authority and RST insight to quell the troublemakers with assumed reasonableness. And before you can say "see a shot o yer credit card machine" we gave the less secure amongst us swallowing this pap with the relish that only the converted can muster. Endless recycling of peripheral and largely irrelevant trivia is leapt upon as being synonymous with truth. Never mind that the Mistrust has squandered half a dozen years to no effect and refuses to run it's affairs without an opacity that M16 would be proud of - some RST people have said there may well be a comma missing here and there's definitely a dot missing over that 'i' over there - so how can anyone take seriously all this criticism of the Trust? Besides which, I just feel uncomfortable with conflict and rather it all just went away. Fuck sake guys, wake up and smell the bullshit these "reasonable" people are pedalling. We now have a number of RST board members debating between themselves on Gersnet and it's all for your benefit, you lucky people. Never mind though, once they've consumed all will to debate they'll be gone, leaving us to discuss who'll score the first goal next week.
  23. Have to agree MF you have been asking for these people to open up and debate since you came on here. Now they have done so all you have to offer is a stupid personal attack. Most disappointing. So as far as you're concerned there are no people involved or at least, if there are, the debate must not touch on them or their involvement. What a load of tosh. If you're feeling too precious to see criticism directed at real people then I genuinely feel sorry for you ... and your "disappointment".
  24. Perhaps he like the money more.
  25. I think you're the one talking shite "mate". Putting gloss on mince won't turn it into steak. Why you feel obligated to write such tosh is you're own affair but, please, don't try pulling the wool over the eyes of people who know far more than you realize.
